Day 71: Nov 17, 2014

it's been a long and tiring day...and i am thankful for:

1) christmas twinkle lights - because they always make me feel so happy...when i stare at them.  but once my eyes are off them, back to the same ol' dredge...but like seriously? how can you not be happy when you see this:

2) getting my expenses basically approved with no questions asked.  my pal ninad was essentially required to prorate his phone bill. i'm like wut... as stingy as my partner is, at least my phone bills are going through with limited questions!

3) as cold as it is outside...i have a warm coat to keep the chills off and a stylish hat to keep my head dry, sturdy boots to keep my feet toasty and my butt off the ground when i walk on ice!

Day 66: Nov 12, 2014

I am thankful for:

1) the innocence of kids - i just saw the first episode of Master Chef Junior season 2 and this one girl served Gordon, Graham and Joe (coz obvi i'm on first name basis with these guys...) raw chicken.  she obviously burst into tears once she got back to her station.  then the miracle happened: all the kids basically gathered around her and proceeded to cheer her up and make her feel better.  so very touching.  i doubt that something similar would happen in an age group that was just several years older, say teenagers.

2) Jeebs - for driving me home :)  i know it's on the way, but still.  it's nice to be driven home.  and i like the fact that he likes some aspects of my car lol  even if it is just an altima and his cars are mercs, bmws, etc.  i cannot believe he still has key start....

3) UnclePeat for subsidizing this week's travel on tokens hahaha

Day 58: Nov 3, 2014

I am thankful for:

1) day light savings?  at least i get to see the sun a little in the morning :) instead of waking up and going to work in darkness, and then returning home in darkness.

2) hot water! - ok so one of my friends on FB was bitching about hard her life is - and one of her friends told her to go into her kitchen and turn on the faucet and be thankful that there is water coming out of it.  not exactly a productive comment, but ok i can work with that.  for me then, i'm happy that there's still hot water to take my shower when i come home at night

3) on that train of thought, perhaps i should be glad that i can time the charging of my phone during work hours so that i don't have to pay to power that thing up.  i love that i don't need to pay my phone bill nor charging it :)

Day 27: Oct 3, 2014

i am thankful for...:

1) the days when the steel drum man plays in the subway in the mornings.  if there aren't too many people walking by, he'll also murmur to the ladies passing by "good morning, pretty lady".  it definitely makes you feel better about yourself.

2) the days when the Frankie says it's going to rain buckets, and nmy commute home is dry. :D

3) the days i see my phone bill and i'm happy that Uncle Peat's got my back when i go over my data plan :D - euuuu, i was grateful for work?!

Day 12: Sept 18, 2014

I am grateful for:

1) free tea samples! - Thanks to David's Tea and Teavana Gen and I had two nice little celebratory tea samples for a job well done at our client.  Much appreciated Teavana's pumpkin spice latte...

2) Uncle Peat and Auntie Gen! - thanks for the delish lunch at Blowfish today!  i really enjoyed the Spicy tuna and rock fish sushi

3) Gen - Thanks Gen.  Thanks for talking with me and guiding me and mentoring me.  you've gone a long way to motive me and thanks for the hook up and getting me on track.
