Do you see any parallels to buddhist myths in amphibia? Given how inspired by thai culture the show is, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t

I know almost nothing about Buddhism but if you or anyone else notices any Buddhist allusions I'd certainly be interested to hear.

One thing that sadly isn’t as prevalent anymore is digimon being biomechanical. A handful of the earlier designs had metal as part of their body’s(even the mechanical ones tend to have organic parts). Plus when the adventure kids went inside whamon, his esophagus and stomach looked more metal than flesh.

I unfortunately can't really make detailed comments on that, but when you think about it that way, that's probably true, huh?

Honestly the only thing that bothers me about this design is that I could have picked a stronger eye color for color harmony, but I don't think there is anything major I could do to push the design further. I wanted a little penguin teddy-bear friend who makes Daipenmon make a little more sense later, and Pengimon still achieves that!

I guess if I had to change something major, I'd give them a hat??? But I worry the silhouette of the ears would be lost, so I think the earmuffs should stay.

So... Yeah! Not sure how I'll feel in the future, but for now, Pengimon stays the same.

Amphibia was a break up story? Huh. That’s not the impression I got. I don’t think amphibia is about loss ..ironically, I think it’s about finding love. Anne finding the plantars, sasha finding grime, the trio finding a healthier form of their friendship after years of toxicity, grime finding that he’s more than just a bully, andrias rediscovering his love for lief. Its probably why the series ends with the trio reuniting, and Marcy’s journal ends implies a return to amphibia.

Headcanons for after the girls return to Amphibia?

headcanons for the thing that absolutely happened. yes, okay, so:

tears. so many tears. they all just hold each other and cry /pos

olivia and yunan absolutely refer to marcy as their child (she calls them her moms)

anne is absolutely obsessed with sprig and ivy's relationship (also they're both dating maddie bc she's cool and i said so)

aroace polly. yeah, i know it's cliche and stereotypical for the "violent character" to be aroace, but she just gives aroace vibes so i don't care

frobo is just some awesome robot dude now and polly is a mechanic

maybe olivia and yunan are involved in government stuff? idk

sasha gets to heal her relationships with percy and braddock (who are married and have kids - they're an obnoxious straight couple but somehow in a good way?)

both sasha and anne's sword skills have diminished greatly over time. they still can do some stuff, but it's apparent how much they lost when grime takes sasha on a mission to defeat some rampaging wild beasts and she is struggling to keep up

sasha, anne, and marcy don't realize that the other two like them yet. it's obvious to literally everyone else that the three of them are in love, though. sprig tries to take their romance into his own hands and creates a mess lol

anne is a bit awkward with her fame, but is really happy to be able to visit wartwood again

hoppop is still kicking but is really struggling to do farm work. marcy (who has been living with her own disabilities for 10 years at this point) talks to him about not being able to do stuff that they used to be able to. it doesn't diminish their worth, but it means that sometimes they need a little more help with certain stuff - and, it sucks to accept, but there's some stuff that they just. can't do anymore. and they just have to accept that

you know those videos of dogs meeting war veterans after being apart for years? yeah that's joe sparrow with marcy (and bessie/ micro angelo with anne to a slightly lesser extent)
