Temeraire: Oh finally, one of these eggs has produced an intelligent, sensible dragon.
Tharunka: You seem nice, but these British guys are not a vibe and I will not be participating in whatever this is.
Temeraire, mournfully: Fair.

All this talk of jewels and I'm tempted to make a Temeraire-inspired series of jewelry pieces. Of course, Tharunka's would just be a baggie full of shiny beads and stones.
It is speculated that current Prime Minister Tony Abbott has successfully attained immortality. The North Shore resident, budgie smuggler aficionado, and master of the Dark Arts has become only the second person in history (following former Young Liberal President Lord Voldemort) to split his soul into seven pieces.
Oh my goodness I didn't realise it was your article in tharunka. Congratulations on writing the piece, it really spoke to me and my own experience on Sunday public transport. I was going to write to tharunka because of it but never did
Yep. The version in Tharunka was a little shorter, because, well, word limits, but yes. The article was published!
It means a lot to hear someone say that.
I didn’t get any response to the article when I posted it to Tumblr, so I just had to take it in faith that it reached somebody. I’m pretty use to doing that, but to have you say that what I wrote struck a chord with you, really just completes the experience.
So, yeah, thanks! (。^‿^。)
haha it's okay, i did notice that in the article itself you did not try to conflate the two together, and what you're saying about hindering the message is kinda why i was annoyed too - because there will probably be a bunch of MRAs who'll read it and go *rolls eyes* "the feminazis are trying to say touching someone is the same as rape!!", when like you're saying, there really does need to be a lot more on indecent assault, and that wont happen by discussing sexual assault. Apologies for the delay in response!
I’m pleased that you noticed the distinction I was making. It can be hard to maintain such a clear distinction when writing about something so personal. So I’m quite happy that I managed to do so adequately.
I was worried about the MRA/troll/Angry hate mail aspect, but it’s actually been surprisingly quiet. But I don’t much mind.
I figure, if only a few people read what I’ve written, then that’s still more people that I would have reached if I hadn’t written about my experiance.
And I think that’s worth the risk of MRAs, Trolls & hate mail.
Well, thank you for asking a question which required a well thought out response! :)
