Do you ever think about how, by the nature of regeneration, every “birth” of a new doctor is the direct result of the previous ones “death”? (Ik bigeneration is a thing but shh). 10 didn’t want to go, he didn’t even honestly contemplate his death until the 2009 specials, but we’ve known how this works since The Parting of the Ways. His birth came only with the promise of his death. There are so many versions of this story. This is the only end to this story. And yet, the show continues. Because there is no end. The world keeps spinning after a death, and that itself is a story to be told. There are no endings. Time continues. Time will always continue.
