As the self appointed Jandy guy, I'm a bit confused because of Johnny's unused voice lines during the riot. He's embarrassed that Jimmy caught them, which makes no sense given Johnny's prideful personality. Why would he be embarrassed about being seen with the most popular girl at Bullworth? Maybe them getting together was a spur-of-the-moment thing where it just sort of happened. Johnny didn't specifically head to the girls dorm with the intention of meeting with Mandy, but she was there and they ended up kissing when Jimmy happened to walk in.
I personally think that Johnny and Mandy first started talking after The Rumble, but they started getting involved sometime after Finding Johnny Vincent.
