damn..... i was really hoping little hope had a supernatural thing going on. i theorized a scientific time loop or a supernatural witch’s curse and etc etc.....
like one of my theories (very early on) was that, amy was the Big Bad. the puritan storyline historically occurred first and amy was the first one killed. so i theorized that she was pissed barely anyone in the town came to her defense and before she died, cursed that they would “forever die a thousand deaths” or something, so their reincarnations would forever die painful and similar deaths. which is why the 70s group died the same way as the puritan group and why the college group was being killed off the same way too.
john came to her defense before her death, but she also still felt spiteful towards him bc of their marriage. their relationship in the 70s was antagonistic as heck and i theorized that their puritan era one was probably the same.
and that the demons or spirits or whatever those crawling creatures were, were real and being led by amy. she caused the issue in the road that made the bus take a detour bc her power is strongest in little hope since it’s the place she died. so she needed them to come back. and also that she was the figure manipulating megan in the beginning, the long fingered hand. she won’t leave them until she’s killed them all forever and is satisfied.
and then at the end, the college group would have to idk appease her somehow and help lay her to rest.
like that was my very early and very loose theory. even tho there’s cracks where it would fall apart, i do wish there was an actual supernatural storyline going on in LH ngl
