Brows knit together in slight curiosity at his statement, a strange mix of emotions washing over Haru as she casts a glance his way. Aventurine was an interesting man — perhaps a nuisance sometimes, but she'd grown used to it — perhaps even a little fond of it. One thing was for certain; things had certainly never been boring since his arrival so long ago. When she speaks, there is a certain playfulness about her tone — and perhaps a certain level of doubt of the other's sincerity.
"Right person, wrong time, huh? Don't go soft on me, now."
It was a beautiful spring evening, the sun starting to set on the horizon as the pair of them made their way back to camp, the temperature beginning to drop. By now, most of the troupe would really be settling in for the night, save for Rune on first watch — both beastkin almost always took the overnight watches. Something of a smile pulls at one of the corners of Haru's mouth as she steps closer to playfully bump into the other as they walk.
"But I wonder what the right time would have been, then... I don't think we'd have gotten on so well if we'd met back home."
She pauses, face turning only a smidge more serious as she pondered the thought. she would have probably tried to eat him. She'd been so wild back in Rtalis — a feral little thing. Strange to think how long ago that was, particularly in comparison to how long it had been since she'd met Aventurine. As they come up the hill, she can see the flickering embers of the remaining campfire ahead. Ruhn'dir's lanky form was a shadow in the distance. She hums a thoughtful note.
"...Who knows? Maybe the right time is still ahead of us. If you really think I'm the right person."
She was clearing teasing as she reaches over, wrapping an arm around the other's shoulder to lead him in close, chuckling a bit. A small purr of affection rumbles in her chest as she allows her earlier half smile to fully bloom.
"But right now I think is the right time for you to get some sleep."
