#I mean she did do some work for autism speaks even tho she knew it was bad :/#idk like. she’s given me a lot of internalized ableism and I feel like some of that stuff she said was some sort of joke but I didn’t see it #that way.#also I did not know that aspergers and autism was like the same thing cuz she said she had aspergers and refused any connection to autism #she was telling me I probably got autism from my DAD instead of her because ‘he acts autistic’#she’s also kind of weird about the guys she dates like. I don’t remember/know if her current bf is actually autistic or if it’s another case #of her saying ‘he acts so autistic’ but either way I don’t rlly like the way she talks about him #like idk I am 1 of 2 of her kids diagnosed with autism so she acts like she can’t be ableist #like I said I don’t like the way she talks about her current bf like she’s so nice for ‘putting up with his autism’#and again I don’t even know/remember if he’s ACTUALLY autistic cuz she says this about ppl a LOT #and like I said she’s made me internalize a lot of stuff like that my autism makes me basically a kid even if im older #and that I just CAN’T do/understand things even if I try #and the way these things have ruined my ability to rlly be an adult vs how much she seems to think I should be able to get a job and stuff #makes me think like hm. maybe when she said those things that I internalized. it was just supposed to be a bad joke?#or maybe she’s just hypocritical. idk. the more I think about my mom and ableism the more I’m like. god.
