When Joe and Jack adopted a child the world was shocked. No one would have thought, they would be the first of the buttercreams to have kids. Even their friends were shocked when they found out. Riley Sugg-Maynard (they couldn't choose which last name they wanted so they picked both) is a 16 year old girl, that both Joe and Jack love very much. When Joe and Jack adopted her, the rest of the buttercreams fought over who would be the godfather. After thinking it through forr a while, the couple decided that Oli would be the godfather. The couple thought he's the most responsible out of their friends Being a sixteen year old had its ups and downs. Riley has always gotten good grades. She's been picked on a little for having two dads and that they're famous. Riley didn't care what other people thought of her or her parents. She has a boyfriend named Liam, which she has been dating for at least a year. Both Jack and Joe think that Liam is a great guy, but they have their doubts as every parent does. Every so often Joe and Jack would have a conversation about how they didn't really trust Liam. Recently the boys noticed that Riley has been acting differently, they wondered if maybe if Liam was abusing her. One night at dinner, when all three of them were together, Riley said she needed to tell them something. Riley has been pregnant for two weeks. She already told Liam and he was shocked but thrilled. Riley told him that they're so young and she can't have a kid now. "I need to tell you guys something." Riley sighed as she enjoyed her meal. The two men looked at each other, confused, and looked back at Riley. "I know you guys are going to be pissed, but I'm pregnant." She blurted out and started crying. "You're pregnant?" Jack asked with a clear shocked expression. "What do you mean you're pregnant?" Joe questioned also shocked. "I'm pregnant, like I have a child growing inside me." Riley spoke quietly to her parents. "Riley, you're only 16! I thought you guys were using protection!" Jack vocalized to his daughter. "We were but I think it broke." Riley started to cry. "Hey, it's going to be ok." Joe stated as he got up from seat to hug his daughter. "How far along are you?" Joe questioned. "Two weeks." "You should have told us earlier." “I know but I thought you guys would have been angry.” “we’re not angry, we’re just disappointed.” With that said, the two boys heads were spinning. So, they decided to leave the conversation there. A few days later they invited Liam over to have a serious conversation. “Do we want to keep the baby?” Riley asked and looked around at him and her parents. “Riley, that’s your decision to make.” Joe told her in a serious tone. “I think we should keep the baby and when it’s born put it up for adoption.” Liam said and everyone nodded along. “I think that’s a great idea!” Jack piped up in agreement. Jack and Joe didn’t know how to tell the boys. They knew they would eventually have to tell them, they just didn’t know how. The boys knew something was wrong, when they started distancing themselves from the group. So, the boys decided to take it upon themselves to see what’s going on with them. They invited the couple to dinner with all of them. When the boys found out they were shocked. They didn’t know how to react, but to be shocked. After the meal, the group decided to go back to Joe and Jack’s place to see Riley. After talking to her for a while they understood her decisions. Riley had to drop out of school because people were noticing something was different with her. She would hear all the whispers when she would walk down the hallway. She tried not to care but she felt like she was constantly being watched. A few months later, Riley gave birth to a girl. Her name is Shannon Rose. It was hard for Riley, to give her up for adoption but she knew it was the right thing to do.

Accident Problems

Jack doesn't drive that often and everyone knows that. Conor is usually the one who drives them, because he's the only one who has a car. It was a day when he decided to drive. Jack was going to go pick Anna up, she was going to be staying with him, Conor and Josh, (a/n let's all pretend they still live together (*cries bc i miss them living together*)) for the week. Conor couldn't go with Jack because he was going to be recording the whole day. Jack had just stopped by to see Joe,his boyfriend, to see if he wanted to pick Anna up. Joe had declined because he had work to do. Jack was driving but only a few minutes he got into an accident. The next thing Jack knows is that he's waking up in the hospital. His head hurts, he also notices that he has a cast on his arm, and when he tries to sit up it hurts. Jack saw Joe sitting in a chair, on his phone, across the room. "Wh- what happened?" Jack asked sleepily. Joe was startled by Jack's voice, and accidentally dropped his phone. "umm... you got into a car accident and I'll go get the doctor." Joe said quickly as he picked up his phone and left the room. A few minutes later Joe returned with not only the doctor but his family. "Oh my god, you're okay I was so worried about you!" His mother, Helen, nearly bawled out crying. You could tell that she was crying. "What exactly happened?" Jack questioned the doctor. "Well, you were in a serious car accident. You broke your arm, your ribs, and you have a mild concussion." The doctor explains to Jack. "Am I going to be okay?" Jack asks with a worried look. "Yes, you're just going to have to relax for a while." A few weeks later Jack is starting to feel better. Joe has been taking good care of him. In the earlier weeks, every little thing Jack needs to do Joe would do it for him. When Jack would ask why he's doing that, Joe would respond with, "I don't want you to get hurt again." Jack wondered why he would do this when he has two roommates. Anna's trip got postponed to a later week, so Jack can be healthy. A month went by after the accident, and Joe started to notice something about his boyfriend. Whenever Conor or one of the other boys asked if he wanted to drive, he would immediately turn it down. Joe asked the others if they saw that too, and they all agreed that they have. Joe was currently at the Maynard's/Pieters household alone with Jack. Conor said something about recording in the studio and Josh said he was going to Caspar's. Joe has really wanted to ask Jack about why he hasn't been driving, but he didn't know how to bring it up in their conversations. Maybe it's better that they don't talk about it, Joe often pondered to himself. A few weeks went by and Joe still had the same thoughts. I need to ask him, Joe repeatedly told himself. One day Jack was at Joe's having dinner, when he suddenly blurted out, "Why haven't you been driving?" "What?" Jack asked him. "I mean, I've noticed that ever since you got into that car accident you stopped driving." Joe explains to him. "Well, I feel like if I drive again something might happen to me again." "If you just be cautious of everyone on the road, nothing will happen." The two boys went on to talk about how Jack should start driving again. The next day Joe had Jack drive around the area in which they live in. Joe explained it to him as taking baby steps and that you have to start small and then go big. A few months later Jack was back to normal. Or at least what he considers normal. Jack was doing his best in being aware of everything going on around him when he drives. Jack is comfortable with driving, and that makes Joe happy to know that he helped him.

Telling Daddy Sugg

Joe knew that he had to tell his dad that he was dating Jack. He didn't know how he was going to tell his dad, he just really needs to tell him. Joe and Jack have been dating for the last 6 months, almost 7 months. Almost 7 months, that's almost half a year. Joe has kept this a secret from the one person he admires most, his dad. Jack knew about Joe's urging desire tell his dad, but he knew what Joe was afraid of. The only reason they didn't tell daddy Sugg because they didn't know how he would react. What if he's disgusted with me? What if he tells me to never to talk to him again? What if he disowns me? Were just some of the thoughts that often ran through Joe's head. The only Sugg that knows is Zoe, and she is very proud of Joe for coming out to her. Zoe loves Jack like family although, they never really see each other. Jack has met Daddy Sugg a few times and thinks he is a lovely person. There have been times when both Joe and Jack almost told Daddy Sugg, but then stopped in the middle and said something else. Joe said to Jack that he's ready to come out to his dad and Jack was a bit surprised. They had planned to go to Wiltshire for the weekend to see his dad. "Really?" "Yeah, I'm sick of hiding this from my dad. I want to tell him, I need to tell him." "If you're ready I'm ready." The both of them agreed to tell Graham when they ate dinner. When they arrived at Joe's house, they sat in the car for a few minutes. The boys told each other that even if Graham hates both of them they'd still love each other. By the time dinner came the boys were both rather nervous. They sat down at the table with a fake smile on their faces. Everyone was eating dinner and the boys looked at each other and nodded, it's time to tell Daddy Sugg. "Hey dad, we have something to tell." Joe spoke up and looked at his dad. "What is it?" Graham questioned. "I... umm... I... Ja... Jack and I are dating." He nervously stuttered. "Well that's great!" Graham said. Joe was confused. "Wait, you're not mad or angry that I'm gay or bisexual?" Joe questioned. "Are you happy?" He asked. "Very." Joe looked at Jack and nodded. "As long as you're happy I'm happy." "Welcome to the family Jack." Graham smiled at him. The three talked for ages about everything that's on their minds. After a long eventful day, the boys decided to go back to London. Joe's happy that his father is accepting of his sexuality. Jack's happy that his boyfriend's dad likes him. Both boys went to bed happy.
