Fic List #1 (of Many!)

If your favorite fic isn't on here, don't worry, this is NOT a competition or anything of that nature, these are just fics that I typically first think of!! (if I didn't @ you, feel free to be like HEY THAT'S ME, I tried to find you all!!!!)

This is the first list of MANY. I Intend to hopefully share each fic from Ao3! NOW, SOME OF THESE ARE LOCKED if you do NOT have an account, be warned when you click the links!

With Love by @magiccatprincess: There are plenty of things you can do with love, but when does something really count as having been done for the name of love? (The infamous In the Name of Love fic, it's a good one to cry to)

Mythology of Love by @silvormoon: A magical world where the cast of Boueibu are gods and priests. Parts are numbered in chronological order, but don't necessarily need to be read that way. (This inspired my own God AU ngl)

Mean Boys by @deuterium51614: Teenage Yufuin En was educated in America. When his family moves back to Japan, En finally gets to experience high school in Japan and gets a quick primer on the cruel, tacit laws of popularity that divide his fellow students into tightly knit cliques. He unwittingly finds himself in the good graces of an elite group of cool students, the Student Council, dubbed "Caerula Adamas," but En soon realizes how his shallow group of new friends earned this nickname.(It is an indisputable fact that, if the curry incident never happened, the plot of Boueibu would be almost identical to Mean Girls, but with magical boy elements.) ((Mean Girls+Boueibu does make sense))

Life Without Love by Charm545: Slight AU. The Conquest Club decides to target the source of their enemy’s power: love. (TBH this fic has lived rent free in my head for years)

Something Wicked By @mostlikelytofangirl: The adventures of a group of missfit mystic creatures and their lives in the city of Salem, Massachusetts, narrated through the eyes of a witch and his cat familiar. Trying to live peacefully will proof to be more difficult than what any of them expected. (just know this series really got me into Akorima)

LOVE! LOVE! Adventures by @deuterium51614's cool mom: Enkin fanfiction written by my mom. (no really these are, it's amazing)

God of Light and Love by @koolkitty9: A rewrite of my infamous God of Love AU, Hakone Yumoto, the heir to the throne of Love , also known as: His Highness, Prince Scarlet, Yumoto Hakone, God of Light, Heir to the Throne of Love, is the next God of Love, who is cursed to die by Hireashi. He has to awaken his powers and finish what his ancestors once started. (listen I will never shut up about this au so I'm going to 100% have to subject it to you guys this early on for this list)

(Two Oh) Two Three, Love and Joy by SicTransitVictoria: The Battle Lovers don't know each other's identities. Same for Caerula Adamas. But somehow, Yumoto knows everyone. (I like this one a lot, it's fun!)

Nighttime Rituals by @fortune-maiden: The last futon comes into his view, and as soon as he sees it, sleep escapes him completely and his unease intensifies. Yumoto is gone. (Another one I think of often)

Two Princes by @soullessserenity: Prince Kinshiro meets his future spouse, prince Yumoto, for the first time. (This one is really sweet)

Kinshiro's Immortal by @thatlittledandere: I couldn't find the original My Immortal summary so I'll just introduce this as what it is: a poor rewrite of My Immortal with Kinshiro Kusatsu as the main character. Nobody asked for this and it's going to be very very painful for all parties involved but here it is. (no this is exactly what you think it is, a very iconic fic)

my hometown has a giant statue of vulcan, greek god of the forge. the world's largest cast-iron statue!! and one of the tallest statues in the US, period. representative of our history. but that's not important. what's important is that he stands on a tall platform atop red mountain, which separates the city from its southern suburbs. that makes him extremely visible. from the front he looks like this

majestic! powerful! i love him. love looking up and seeing him whenever i'm downtown <3

but from the back he looks like this

that's right... he has a bare ass. my guy's not wearing any pants

vulcan (this statue in particular, not the god) is a beloved symbol of the city and it's the bare ass that really makes it. there are bobblebutt figures, etc. he's been repositioned to his original orientation but for a long time he faced north, leaving his ass to face the suburb of homewood directly to the south of him. so some guys wrote a song about it in the 80s

but it's like. a joke song. because actually everyone thinks it's funny. a lady tried to start a campaign once to clothe vulcan's ass but no one was interested

also we sent a 10-foot-tall vulcan replica to hitachi, japan as part of a sister city thing so they have their own miniature bare-assed vulcan in a park

Character opinions. My underrated underappreciated underexplored fave Choji

CHOJI!!!! while unfortunately i dont have much to say abt him i do believe he could have been better utilized as a kind and sweet ninja 🥺 i kind of ship him with hinata actually is that weird? its a weird rarepair but tbh it fits for me. anyway. love him!

p4 spoilers ; surprise surprise, it’s a fanfic about adachi LOL

oooh, so awhile back i really wanted to write a roleswap au of yu and adachi, with the additional ageswap- so yu is older, probably has a job as a schoolteacher or something similar, and is visiting/relocated to inaba, and adachi would be going to yasogami high. (unsure the exact situation, but either his parents would be with him but very distant, or got him a tiny apartment to live in while they're working abroad or something?)

ultimately i wanted to explore how what yu's motive would be in this kind of scenario- i was debating it having the feeling of 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions', where he gets a skewed sense of what the tv world does and wants to help people accept their true selves through their shadows- or something like that- and it ends up causing those disappearances/deaths.

i also really liked exploring the idea that maybe adachi would end up befriending different students at the school and form a totally different kind of IT, unwittingly- so having a party consisting of characters like ai, and daisuke/kou, yumi or ayane, etc etc- maybe some of the original IT, but it'd all go down differently!

also, instead of namatame being the third link in this case, i was considering a heartbroken yosuke who wasn't able to reconcile the loss of saki to end up trying to 'save' those who were being targeted, or something similar... (yosuke works really well in pretty much any of the three roles since he foils adachi and namatame so well, but I liked playing into his shadow's insecurities and his need to be somebody important, a hero!)

FUCK this just reminded me to finish it gsjsgdjhf i got 4 hours in now tho! i have learned that the side content to victorious is even worse than the show itself. which is saying something. gdjsgdjhfkd
