Why not do a supernova Aro fic event ? With assigned prompts and half hitters and we’ll call it Arodromeda, the prompts involve fan art that are assigned to the writers to create a story off of nd they have to pop 100,000 words and it has assigned encourage agents and backup writers

We love your enthusiasm! Seeing others interested in promoting more fanworks focused on the aromantic spectrum is truly inspiring.

We've been doing AAW for 10 years now, and since its first edition, we conceived the event as a form of free creation, mostly because there are so many ways to approach our experience as aromantic people, and we didn't feel the need to limit it to just a few.

However, we believe this is a great opportunity to encourage others to show all of us how they celebrate aromanticism! Your idea sounds amazing; have you thought about organizing and launching it yourself? If you're up for it, we'd love to promote it on our blog. We all know we lack this kind of representation, so why not do something about it ourselves?

Once again, we love your enthusiasm. We hope to hear from you and this wonderful idea of ​​yours soon. Or, if you'd like to join us during this week dedicated to the creation of arospec fancontent, you're more than welcome!

Are you doing a fanfic event with prompts ? Or like a supernova ?

Hi! Actually, it's neither.

During AAW, we encourage you to freely create whatever you want, without prompts or guidelines. The only "rule" is your fanwork must focus on one or more aromantic characters (whether canon or headcanon).

Of course, you can mention other aspects of their identity (asexuality is the most common association), but the focus should remain on their aromantic experience.

Good to know, and thank you! It’s telling about amatonormativity in fandom that the description you provided can apply to an awful lot of aro-ace and aro-ace-coded characters in various fandoms--in fact, it’s downright terrifying how easily it can be interpreted for different fandoms. Jughead is the uber-example, if you will, but there’s plenty of characters that I could have written that post about with almost no change to said post aside from character and property names.

If folks want to make recommendations for aro-ace Rumpelstiltskin works (Once Upon a Time...? I am really not familiar with that fandom) then please do so.
