Hiya, I might lurk here for a long while, idk what the english term is but it might just be an auditory problem, basically if I'm at the mall or in the school lunchroom meaning there's a lot of noises, so if I'm talking to someone it'll get harder to hear what's being said even if I'm sitting next to them. And some textures make me uncomfy as feck, so that might just be me and my sensory issues. Sorry this has nothing to do with ADHD ;-;

Yeah, disliking certain textures is down to sensory issues - which is a symptom of ADHD.

The feeling that you can’t hear someone close to you because of a lot of background noise is partially down to our sensory issues and partially down to our auditory processing difficulties.

I think I figured out a possibly but still kinda reachy reason for the Loveless copy being so chunky despite have like barely a page of poems.

Okay so I have a copy of the Edda's and volume one looks to be roughly the same size, and why do I mention this? Because it's important, and the thing that I noticed is that a really big chunk of the volume are big text analysies of what's going on in the poems and their meanings;

Not as much as I remember but you get my point. And I don't feel like getting a better picture of the text bc you can kinda see it.

And then only after that do the actual poems come up (occasionally with page big illustrations).

And yeah Loveless is was shorter than the Edda's but who's to say it doesn't have a big chunk of the volume with analysies of what the meaning of the poem could be since it's kinda vague but yk.

I mean, I can get behind that. Like, I make fun of LOVELESS being so short but being in a leather bound, novel length book because I adore Gen and just enjoy taking the piss out of him sometimes. But realistically? I feel like, if the version of LOVELESS we hear isn't part of something larger (I don't think it is, but who knows - the true 5th verse was lost and the one we hear is the one Genesis wrote), then the book is probably like you said: page length illustrations, possibly different translations of the poem or maybe differences between cultural interpretations of it, annotated notes or related essays from other scholars, etc. Plus Genesis is like the guy for scholarly analysis of LOVELESS in that universe - he's not just a some casual enjoyer of it. It's why he has Study Group on top of Red Leather. Study Group even canonically compiles his his research on LOVELESS into a book and publish it after he """""dies"""""", and that becomes a best-seller, too. So. Uh. Yeah lol. Could even be his own annotated notes filling the book.

quick question, in your Turntrans AU, does Franziska know Phoenix isn't who he's presenting as or is Phoenix way back into the closet? Just my brain asking a dumb question bc reasons.

From the moment he wakes up after Manfred takes him until he discovers who he is in 1-4, Phoenix is closeted and unaware he's trans. Franziska gets the vague sense that something is off about her sibling, but writes it off as Phoenix being "tomboyish". As soon as she's informed of Phoenix's true identity in 2-2, she figures there were a lot of signs she ignored and is frustrated with herself for not noticing sooner and giving Phoenix the support he needed, even though at the time she was no more educated than Phoenix was about being transgender. A lot of his gender dysphoria went ignored by her because she had similar feelings, and she figured that was just normal. Surprise Ziska you're not cis either

I just finished rewatching all of the Hobbit movies (of course Lotr comes next😉) I'm also starting to read The Fellowship of the Ring, I DEFINITELY recommend. Tolkien's work is incredible.
