ugh this is like me and my nana’s baking. me and my mom try so hard to make her apple cake and it’s never quite the same…

my entire family has this same problem

my dad can cook a few of her dishes (and they're pretty great) but that's about it

what I'll probably end up doing just teaching myself how to cook a bunch of Hungarian dishes and say that my grandmother taught me them >_>

what do you do for work?

I work for a residential treatment program for teens that have been abused/ have abused others and have behavioral issues. And I work the overnight shift where basically my main task is to make sure none of the kids sneak out of the house/leave their rooms.

The kids I've met so far have been really sweet though and reading through their files about why they're there is so heartbreaking.
