so im watching the hobbit again, and i noticed something

at the end of tbofa, the auctioneer says ‘thorin oakenshield’, basically stating that ‘oakenshield’ was on the contract as thorins last name and uh

no it wasnt-

i mean not be able to read that the best but im pretty sure that says ‘son of durin’ and not ‘oakenshield’

Do people still read Bagginshield / Thilbo fics?

If so, how about a long fix-it where Erabor never needed to be reclaimed, Thorin is a mostly ok almost perfect king, and Bilbo is the new reluctant leader of the Palace musicians??
