Summary:
Lan Zhan bundles himself out of bed, making his way back to the kitchen. It’s clean — nothing spilled, broken, or out of place. He opens the fridge, the cool air a gasp against his sleep-flushed skin. Two containers: one of soup, one of noodles, stacked neatly on top of each other. A sticky note on the lid: a rabbit, wrapped in a blanket.
There’s a strange feeling in Lan Zhan’s stomach. He doesn’t think it’s the fever.
