so :) unpolished and unedited as i literally wrote it earlier today but you get 2 sentences for the price of one :) "His eyes watered and his hands shook, and for a brief moment, Tom let himself believe that this was real, that he deserved them, deserved a life with them as an equal and not just as someone who laid his heart at their feet begging for a scrap of affection. It was always like that, Tom giving himself to them over and over again and getting brushed away, screaming his devotion but they just covered his mouth - but at least they were touching his mouth."
