A hush had descended over the bar, almost all the patrons watching the Linda and a slightly older guy aiming to chuck ping-pong balls into the last beer cup. He’d just missed and she was up. Linda bent forward, her leather pants leaving little of her ass to the imagination and delicately launched the ball, it bounced once and... landed into the cup.

“Wooooooooooo!” she called as the bar exploded into cheer. “Fuck yea!” she grabbed cup, downed the contents and grinned, the ping-pong ball in her mouth, she dropped it into her hand and threw it at her would-be opponent, “Think fast!” he fumbled to catch it and as he did she shot a fist out and punched him (only lightly) in the crotch. He doubled over as the crowd howled with laughter, “Ohhh ya gotta be quicker than that pencil dick!”

She took another drink as the bar door opened and a new guy came in. Linda looked him and down before brushing her thick hair back and walking over, “Sup’ hot stuff. Challenge a lady to beer pong? I’ll whoop your ass then kiss it better.” cooed with a smirk.

Linda had (luckily) realised what was going on and locked herself in her office for the night, her dark thoughts about everyone swirling in her head while she snapped them out at thin air rather than to anyone she knew. Now, in the wake of it, her dance card was very much full, a familiar face coming to her place at District X this time.

“Anton,” she smiled, letting him in and closing the door behind him, “Sit down,” she smiled, “How are things? After what happened the other night.. Oh God, is Kara alright!? And the baby?”

Linda may have been avoiding Anton, but only because she knew how angry he’d be. Not with her, but with the long dead man who’d left her the way she was now... She had bandages wrapped around her left leg, right arm (also in a sling) and several more under her blouse and wrapping around her broken ribs. She’d been given a single crutch but was working hard to only use it when necessary so she ended up half limping from place to place for the sake of what little pride she had left.

But her face was the worst. There was a large taped cut along her forehead, a huge purple bruise under her left eye, a split lip and a black eye on her right side. That bastard had gone to town on her face and no amount of makeup was going to cover it up... That and her face hurt too much to apply any. There was a knock on the door and with trepidation Linda rose and half limped over to the door, slowly opening it and, almost as though she were ashamed, looked up at Anton.

“Please don’t be mad.”

Linda couldn’t say she wasn’t enjoying having her city office back, it was luxurious, comfy and (most importantly) the coffee was on point. She was enjoying a cup of it now and waiting for her next appointed. Though she’d told Anton she’d be happy to see him outside of office hours, just as she did Lucifer, the man had booked himself in regardless and should be here any moment. Just as she set the excellent coffee down the door buzzed and she rose to her stiletto-clad feet and walked over, opening the door with a smile. 

“Well, hello stranger, it’s been a while.” she teased, beckoning him inside, “Can I get you a coffee? The machine here is amazing, I think I’ve missed it more than I did the office.” she chuckled.

Closing the door to the mayor’s office with a little wave Zach nodded at the secretary before making his way down the corridor. Harvey had left a few files at home and it had been easy enough to bring them down, aside from a meeting with his agent and a half-baked idea to meet Eddie later he had nothing on. Turning a corner he spotted a guy head towards the office and frowned, taking a moment before his brain made the connection and he spoke up.

“Hey, you’re that guy who worked with Harvey during the election, Anton right?” he asked, “I’m Zach, I was helping him and June out too.” He smiled and stuck a hand out.

As her heels clicked down the street, a pop song softly played through her ear buds through her phone. It was a normal day, well considering she only got two hours of sleep and there was probably still a bullet lodged her in somewhere, it was normal for her. However, she was focused on her phone ; a new job was coming in and she didn’t look where she was going. Bumping into the person, she by instinct locked the phone so they wouldn’t see what was on it. Felicia glanced up, smiling slightly as a form of apology.  “Sorry, I need to pay more attention to things in front of me.”
