the apple is such a gay spock episode to me. what if affection and dating and even the concept of love were illegal because a higher power said so (if u remember that it came out in the 60s this sounds so much like a queer allegory ngl). and also spock is ostracized and ridiculed just for the way he exists. also the oppressive force is only ever seen getting pissed at spock and kirk, not even the other members of the landing party, JUST them. am i crazy or is that gay as shit
