Sometimes I think about the fact that Louis is like the vampire equivalent of a manic pixie dream girl for Lestat and Armand and arguably also Daniel. I used to move around in my sleep a lot when I was younger, like kicking my blanket off, pillows on the floor and almost rolling off the bed type of movement. But then I broke my arm which I guess scared my body into never moving around at all at night in fear of injuring myself again. And it's really interesting to me that it's been more than a decade since that time I broke my arm but my sleeping habit has never returned back to normal. To this day I still don't move in my sleep, I basically wake up in the same position I go to bed in.

I know this is like borderline conspiratorial thinking but I genuinely feel like some of the positive reviews TVL is getting has be to puff pieces that AMC pay people to write right??? Did they even watch the show, because for one it's the Great Conversion, not transformation, and saying that Gabriella is a less conservative adaptation and that Rolin isn't sanding down the edges is crazy when he removed so much of Lestat's character flaws. And also praising the music as good when the show itself says it's shit??? Likd idk are we even watching the same tv show 😭😭😭

a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.

I think the battle is long since lost on what the “-coded” suffix means, but I (old movie guy specifically invested in queer coding) seem to be unable to let go of how annoying I find the fuzzy popular use of the term. This is probably a flaw in my character.
