Hi, there! Hey, about your post about Love and Producer. Is there a Japanese version? And do you know if they're going to release English version for other countries than UK?

Like I have said, there was zero promotion for the game. I found out that they were releasing it in English about an hour after they released the app because a friend of mine alerted me to it.

From their twitter, which I ALSO didn’t know existed until I looked,

*If you are not in the UK or not use Android devices, please don’t worry, Mr Love will meet you in other countries and platforms in the future.

Not sure why they didn’t just release it worldwide. Maybe they are worried about their servers crashing?

From what I am seeing, the JP version isn’t released yet.

Oddly enough, I am out of the loop when it comes to a lot of otome games that are released. Unless the company reaches out or I am given a heads up from other players (hint, hint!), I usually do not know about new games unless they are games from companies I already follow.

The amount of games coming out are basically at a point where, being a one-person show, I cannot keep up with everything anymore…

Hey there, I stopped playing otome games for a while because of life circumstances and I’m now seeing lots of otome games becoming all-in-one apps? Could you explain what happened? Thank you so much for all your walkthroughs btw! Hope you have a great week! :)

Around the mid-2017, Apple cracked down on what is referred to as “Cookie Cutter Apps.” So, apps from a company that use the same functioning UI but just have different games plugged into the fall into this category. This also somewhat effected games that were basically the same but in different languages.

Some companies seem to have stopped releasing games all together. Building a “library” app is not an easy feat and most of these companies are, in some ways, indie.

In order to combat this, companies were told to create an all in one app to house their games. Companies with pay-to-play games with seemingly a lot of capital (i.e. Voltage) were able to do this pretty quickly. 

Arithmetic was having A LOT of trouble getting the iOS version of their game approved. It ended up being released a little over two months after the Android version and was basically dead on arrival because of it.

OKKO, who has solely free-to-play games, are doing their best, but since their apps were using a platform created by another company (Arithmetic), there were a lot of struggles bringing their games into their all-in-one. This includes the fact that, since Arithmetic probably takes a cut of sales and those sales are run through their app system, moving over paid content probably would have been a HUGE undertaking that a smaller company like OKKO just doesn’t have the capital or the “man power” to do. (I also feel the system could use a lot of work as it seems very bare bones still to me…)

So, this is probably the future of mobile otome as long as everything is 100% the same in the game. Companies need to get on making a library app and they really need to make sure that they give each new game they put out something that makes the game unique.

Hey girlie! I know this is basically ancient history right now, but would you consider making a review of jaehees and zens routes in mysme? I looove hearing your opinions, and i saw that they were your favorites and i was like 'omg! same!' so i'd love to read your thoughts on them, like you did with ray's route .Ty and please ignore this if its just not something you do! <3

Hmm…. I could but it’s been so long since I read their routes (two years) and I usually like to review routes right after I am done reading them because I have the memory of a goldfish, and I forget details pretty dang quickly.

If anything my review of their routes would be an attempt to show people my interpretation of the events in the story (even though I did this A LOT when the game was first out), like how Jaehee’s route is 100% a love route (even though it’s subtle af) and how Zen’s obsession with himself stems from actually having low-self esteem from his parents treating him like dirt and other adults being gross with him ever since he was a child (also, he’s not a fuckboi).

…. I’ll think about it. lol

How do you feel about the IkeRev story events? And the early clear bonuses for the collection and story events?

Early Clears are how they have always been in CYBIRD games, they are there for people who are willing to spend money to get them.

Story events in whole on the other hand…

Until this point, CYBIRD’s story events were able to be completed by 100% free players with enough strategy and smart picking of event mates. With the new way events are done in IkeRev, that is not possible anymore. It’s at a point where, if you are 100% free, you are going to have to pick and choose which events you will try to complete. Save up your items for these events…

And then it hit me. This took two story events for me to realize WHY exactly they changed the way story events worked. What is something that 100% free players have complained about in CYBIRD games that they have changed in IkeRev?

They give out free premium currency.

So, not only are they giving out stamina items, but if you strategize the way you use your free stones, you could also manage to buy sets with those stones to help you complete your events.

As someone who has no problem spending money in games that I like, I know that even I am going to have to change the way that I play.

1. There isn’t an opening or closing fever anymore. So, since mates just give you a small Love Points boost, hold off starting the event until there is a fever. That way when you start, you can use stamina items to their full potential.

2. You are going to have to decide which events you want to Full Clear and which events you would be okay with reading 1-2 premium ends. I do this in a lot of other games now. I play so many games, I just can’t really read a full event every game anymore. So, I pick out a favorite or two and then make sure to read their highest end and, if they have an After End/Episode, I will buy that and call the event done.

3. Buy TEA & CAKE SETS ONLY during fevers. These are the items you need to be buying more than anything for story events. For collection events, you want ticket sets only and then use those tickets during a story fever to get the most points out of them.

4. If you won’t be able to EC in IkeRev, hold off reading the story until you have around 7500 LP. That way you can get one ending out of the way in one go and feel more accomplished.

I keep reminding myself that not FC-ing an event is not something I need to get super upset about. If I focus on the characters I like the most, then finishing those I don’t care about doesn’t matter.

I'm playing Ikemen Sengoku Romances Across Time. I was just wondering, the game gives 5 free tickets each day for chapters. Do those stack each day or do you have to use the 5 each day in order to get another 5 the next day? In other words, can you not read chapters for three days and end up with 15 tickets?

In free to play games, free daily tickets do not stack. They max out at 5 tickets.
