So I've been playing around with Ren'Py for my WWE 2K23 videos. Since modern WWE games don't have a promo/story creator anymore, I gotta recreate the vibes myself in a completely different program.

Here's the culmination of that work. Here's me doing a backstage interview with Goku before his title match with Lobo at the upcoming In Your Browser III.

Hey would you like to see a funny brand split idea I had for The AWF. This is so silly, imagine if this was a real thing in a real wrestling promotion. "Yeah, Cody Rhodes got drafted to Earth-A :/"

About a month later, I posted the following about silly plans for The AWF's next "season", after we finish this 12 episode "season":

I’m still thinking about this idea. The last AWF video I have planned in WWE 2k23 is Crisis, what would be our “WrestleMania”. Every 12 events will act as an in-universe year and a production “season” of this show, if that makes sense. During the season break, it gives me time to asses how I want to make videos in the next season. Do I move to a new game (yes, I want 2K24 badly), do I organize the season differently, do I add more episodes/videos, what storylines do I want to push, so on and so forth.

I’ve had a lot of goofy “multiverse” ideas for this show, with Earth A and Earth B being the obvious ones. But I’ve also considered a “What If” thing between 2K23 and 2K24, serving as a last hurrah for that game and how I make videos with it, showcasing the “what ifs” of The AWF. Also, “crisis” as a name for our last event is taken from DC Comics, where most of these crisis are multiverse stories. So what if I really went in this goofy direction?

The idea I’m toying with is that there would be 13 events in season 2. 12 of those 13 would be “doubles”, where we have say “Make Your Wish (Earth-A)” and “Make Your Wish (Earth-B)”, where things are slightly the same but different. The “Rumble” matches have different characters in different orders, the titles they’re fighting for are named different (AWF Heavyweight Champion in one, AWF World Champion in another), characters look slightly different, so on and so on. The last of these “doubles” has two near identical matches happen at the end (I’m imagining it involving something to do with Xemnas and Kingdom Hearts bullshit I keep working into the stories) which forces the two Earths to line up and cause “Crisis in Two Rings”, the 13th and final episode of Season 02.

I don’t know if this will work, or will make any sense, or would even be fun to watch… but also, I can’t keep the idea out of my head. I’m working on another, more “manageable” idea where it’s just 12 PPVs but arranged and ordered better and closer to a real WWE-style PPV schedule, including something similar to Sunday Night Heat to act as a bigger pre-show for the Big Four shows. But I’m holding out hope I can make this weird other idea work too lol
