Hi!! Yes, Seris is my Star Wars senator oc!! Funny you ask, as I am working on an updated piece of her right now!
I don’t have a ton of info up about her, and I am reworking part of her design at the moment, but if you are curious about her, you can check out the stuff I did for @clonexocweek!! Here is the link!

I owed you guys an actual render of her now that I have locked in my art style! Also I cut her hair!!

Also also! I keep trying to decide things for my art style, and I was wondering what style you guys preferred out of the options below! Do we feel the more simple vibe of flat color, or do we prefer fully rendered? Please let me know!!
Which style do you prefer?

Hey guys… so uh… Bad Batch OC Reveal!! Meet my girl, Seris Vantessa!
Please excuse the fact I am not really an artist. I just really needed to put something up here so she can no longer just live in my head and so people can see info about her for trades, gift exchanges, and such! Also in preparation for @clonexocweek!
Seris is a member of the Galactic Senate who works closely with Senator Chuchi. I plan to write a longfic to explore her story becoming involved with the Batch at some point, but I keep procrastinating because I know XReader fics are more fun for people to read. There is some info about her from my writer’s notes below the cut if you want to learn about her!!
Background:
Born into a noble house on Heleris, a planet known for its scholarly traditions and diplomatic heritage, Seris was raised with expectations of public service. Her family's position in Helerian aristocratic-democratic society afforded her extensive education in rhetoric, diplomacy, and galactic politics. She rose quickly through local government positions before being selected as Heleris's representative to the Galactic Senate—one of the youngest senators to hold the position at 23. Her homeworld's traditions of measured discourse and philosophical debate shaped her approach to governance, while her family instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility toward those with less power. As Imperial control has tightened, she has become increasingly vocal about clone rights, positioning herself against powerful military figures like Admiral Rampart. This advocacy stems from her core belief in individual dignity, though it has made her a target of Imperial surveillance and intimidation. Despite pressure from her own government to moderate her stance for Heleris's safety, she remains committed to her principles.
Personality:
Seris is principled to a fault, with an unwavering moral compass that guides her political decisions even at personal cost. Her analytical mind and strategic thinking allow her to navigate complex political situations with remarkable skill. While empathetic and perceptive of others' emotions, she maintains a careful emotional distance, rarely allowing herself vulnerability. This guardedness stems from a deep-seated fear that trusting others with her protection will lead to disappointment. This belief can be seen through the fact she refuses to hire bodyguards, despite putting herself in dangerous situations in order to unveil the deceit of the Senate. Her self-sacrificing nature often puts the needs of her constituents and causes above her own wellbeing. Despite her outward confidence in political arenas, she struggles with allowing herself to be truly seen, preferring to present a composed facade rather than reveal inner turmoil. Her high emotional intelligence makes her excellent at reading political rooms and opponents, though she sometimes overthinks situations, looking for hidden agendas where none exist.
Physical Description:
Seris has long brown hair that she typically wears in elaborate styles befitting her senatorial position. Her grey eyes are sharp and observant, often revealing her analytical mind at work even when her expression remains diplomatic. She carries herself with a graceful, composed posture cultivated through years of diplomatic training. Her most distinctive accessory is a delicate platinum circlet adorned with two charms representing justice and truth, which are traditional Helerian symbols that reflect her core values. She favors flowing robes with structured shoulders and embroidery that convey senatorial authority while honoring Helerian aesthetic traditions. Her movements are deliberate and poised, rarely betraying haste or anxiety even in tense situations. When speaking publicly, she often touches her circlet's truth charm, an unconscious gesture that brings her comfort.
Dialogue Style:
Seris speaks with measured precision, choosing her words carefully to maximize both clarity and diplomatic ambiguity when necessary. Her voice carries a natural authority that commands attention without requiring volume, and she modulates her tone deliberately to emphasize key points. In Senate debates, she employs classical Helerian rhetorical techniques, building logical arguments while appealing to shared values. Her public speaking style is characterized by elegant phrasing and strategic pauses that give weight to her words. In private, her speech remains thoughtful but becomes more direct, though she still tends to intellectualize emotional matters. When discussing principles she holds dear, particularly clone rights, her usual diplomatic reserve gives way to passionate eloquence. With those she trusts, like Tech, her speech patterns gradually relax, revealing glimpses of dry humor and philosophical curiosity that she typically keeps hidden in political settings.
I sketched this with graphite and colored in with colored pencil. But like, I have to ask. How does literally everyone know how to do digital art? Like how did you guys learn and is there some free software everyone used to get started? I feel like I missed the digital art train when I was in middle school and now it feels impossible to jump on. But also I am sick and tired of smudging my lines with my hand because I use graphite and also the idea of layers sounds soo nice…
