My favorite headcanon is that Shatterdomes have special rooms for their local pilots, because they were supposed to live there most of the time.

You know Raleigh and Yancy's holographic clock that would alert them of any kaiju attack with all the immediate information about it? Like that.

The Beckets had that clock, a kitchen, a punching bag for training in their room, they had the Lady Danger logo on the wall... I'm just saying that it'd be cool if every pilot duo had their rooms similarly personalized.

Or better, they had their rooms personalized for them. I like to believe people would show them certain kindness and consideration because at the end of the day, they were the crazy ones willing to pilot a giant machine to kill the kaiju.

Anchorage had a kitchen in the pilots rooms, so who of the Beckets was the cook?

I think both of them could cook (they had to learn how to after his mom died and his dad left), but I do love the trope of one of them being a threat to the safety of the Shatterdome if they're cooking.

Also I find it kinda funny, because I can imagine them cooking at 3:00 AM or making breakfast to avoid the messhall.
