Not specifically red string but I had an idea for a character who had their wrists bound by red silk— like loose enough that they can still function, like maybe a torso width of space but they can’t fully spread out their arms if that makes sense? Anyways your response made me realize how sick of an idea that concept would be if I applied the red string universe to it. Like think of the implication of being bound to yourself by love, just slack enough to function, but restrained enough that you’ll never be free and you’ll always be calculating how much you can move.

This sounds like a hanahaki style AU now but for abusive relationships and I am digging it. Love that is disabling. Love that is Restrictive. Love that ties you down and love the limits and love that hurts when you pull away.

Actually deeply obsessed with this idea and I might be stealing it for my little Cupid Thing now because I am having. Thoughts.

That design is one of those concepts I've had in my brain for YEARS and have been on-off sprinkling on characters every here and there for funsies cause I just really love the red string of fate

I love the idea of being tangled in the Red String, having it tied around more than just your pinkie. Love controlling your every decision.
