The 100 Scene Introspection

Day 2: Bellamy + Octavia/Favorite Sibling Scene

Bellamy walks out of the door of Mount Weather, looking around for Octavia. He’s worried, has been for a while now. 

“You ok?” he asks before climbing up the ladder to join her. 

His leg is screaming, but he has no choice since Octavia is ignoring him. So he settles next to her, still giving her space to speak first. He doesn’t want to talk over her, knowing how damaging that can be. He may not always be the best at letting her be her own person, but he’s going to try his best right now. Right now is all he can affect. He can’t change how he treated her in the past, and he has to remind her that he loves her. That he’s still here if she needs him. 

“This is such a mistake,” she mutters. “The Grounders will never accept it.” 

Bellamy sighs. He understands her reasoning, but it’s a moot point. They have to try this, and if the summit goes badly… 

“We’re not the Mountain Men, O. Nyko and Lincoln will make them see that.” 

“How? Lincoln has a kill order on him. He can’t even leave camp without risking his life.” 

The space between them has never felt larger. “The summit will take care of that,” Bellamy replies, looking between her and the sky above them. 

“Thought we could finally get out of here. I’m sorry, Bell,” Octavia says, looking into Bellamy’s eyes for the first time. “But I don’t fit in here.” 

The space only continues to grow, but Bellamy isn’t going to let her slip away so easily. He stares right back at her, his heart still breaking. 

“If you need to leave, then I get that. But you’ll always fit in with me,” he says, avoiding her gaze, his eyes soft with unfiltered emotion flashing across them. 

Octavia reaches out to grab Bellamy’s hand, a silent gesture of gratitude. 

Ok, this isn’t what I normally do, but I love this scene so much. It was before things got too out of hand with these two, and it’s obvious that they do love each other. It’s just such a raw scene, so when I saw the prompt, I thought that I might write it out with added bits and pieces. Things I just interpreted from how they looked, or how they might have been feeling. This being a gif geared prompt set that we can do other things with has pushed me out of my comfort zone. It’s been nice, so it prompted me to write a short introspection on this scene.

you know what?? not only did t100 s7 not give me bellarke but it also had octavia finally develop into a good person and admit that beating bellamy was fucked up only for her to only ever say this to echo of all people (lmfao what) and apologize to bellamy in a letter he never receives because he fucking dies????? jroth really took bellarke and the blakes away from me...that's so messed up, man. truly.
