"No more," he mutters, and tightens a final bolt. With a flip of the switch, the machine lurches into action, its joints rattling but holding fast. The tip of the coil glows a sinister red, and the doctor cackles. Peels of laughter slip out of him, triumphant but mirthless. He operates the controls with the frantic confidence of a man who's been ignored often, but knows that no one in the world will be able to ignore what he's doing now. "No more!" he shrieks, and throws the lever that will finally make the words he's spoken so many times a reality. "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"
