Did Comet get help making The Candyfolks by a true blood Butterfly member, possibly Rosetta's grandma and Meissa's mom?

Most likely. But that I'll have to save for a potential one shot I have in the works.

I won't be going too indebt due to spoilers. But I do plan on having Rosetta playing a role ( Hopefully Kururu will be cool with that! XD). But you'll have to wait until the fic is out to find out!

Winter Frost: The Christmas of Sweetopia

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ya'll! Just thought I'd give you all some Candyfolk/Sweetopia lore as a special Christmas gift to ya'll

And to fit with the theme, I decided this would be the perfect time to talk about Sweetopia's signature winter holiday: Winter Frost

Basic Info

Winter Frost Eve is a winter holiday celebrated by the Candyfolk. It is Sweetopia's equivalent of Christmas as it has similar traditions and themes. But the main difference is that Winter Frost is meant to celebrate the anniversary of Sweetopia's first winter as a continent and to honor the royal family of Northern Sweetopia.

Origins

Long ago back during the early years, Sweetopia was going through it's very first winter, it was still going through it's growing pains as a continent at the time, and many of the first generation of candyfolk were still adjusting to their new independent lives since Queen Comet liberated them. For the most part, Sweetopia was rather peaceful during it's early years. But once in a blue moon, there was at least one potential threat that would disrupt the peace. One of such was the ongoing feud between the two clans that would later form the royal family of Northern Sweetopia: The Mintas and The Redfrosts. All year the two clans have been at a long standing feud with each other since Sweetopia's inception. And many believed that it would always be that way. That was until a love started to bloom: The love between Araminta Redfrost and Jackson Minta, the heirs of their respective clans.

The two have been secretly dating for a while and have managed to keep their relationship a secret for as long as they could. Even managed to be secretly married and had a daughter named Jacqueline. Things seem to be going well for the couple. But then one day, word of their relationship quickly reached their clans. And both clans started to discuss plans for a coming war. Fearing for their lives, Jackson and Araminta decide to pack their bags and leave their home with no hope of returning.

One night, when the young family was staying in the then young Candyfolk Queendom, they noticed a mysterious blizzard has taken over the rest of Sweetopia, with many of the farmlands being unable to tend to their lands, leaving several residents left with know food, water, warmth, or light. Even the royal family was not immune with Queen Dolce focus on tending to the needs of her family and servants that she almost never had time to tend to the rest of her Queendom.

Nobody knew what was causing the blizzard. Nobody except Jackson and Araminta, who quickly realized the cause of Sweetopia's troubles: The feud between their clans. Worried for both their people and the rest of Sweetopia, the couple decided to finally end the feud once and for all. With the help of the queen, and with some terrifying display of their ice and candy magic, Jackson and Araminta were eventually able to call off the war and worked to bring peace by uniting the two clans who under the family name Mintfrost. And as an apology to the rest of Sweetopia, Araminta and Jackson also decided to bring gifts to the rest of Sweetopia. From toys for the children and young at heart, to food, clothes, and to help fix homes and tend to the lands. Thus both the Mintfrost Family and Northern Sweetopia was born.

The day would eventually evolve into the Winter Frost, with many of the traditions being inspired by the holiday's history.

Traditions

Much like how we celebrate Christmas, the candyfolk celebrate Winter Frost by decorating a tree, exchanging gifts, singing songs, etc. But they use Peppermint trees instead of Pine trees.

Similar to Santa Claus, It has become a tradition for members of the Mintfrost Family to deliver gifts to all of Sweetopia. But while Santa is more known for delivering toys and games, the Mintfrost Family also bring food, clothes, and other necessities as well as toys.

The history behind the holiday has inspired many songs, plays, folktales, and legends throughout Sweetopia. And it has become an honored tradition to reenact the Holiday's inception.

By the time of the Future AU, Winter Frost is also celebrated in Mewni due to both the efforts of the representatives and the influx of candyfolk immigrating to the continent.

So that's it for now. I'm sorry if it's a bit rushed. I'm just nda typing this at the top of my head, as I've had this idea brewing in my head all year. But never got around to typing it out until now.

Rough Nights

Any trivia facts about the Candyfolks and Kelpies?

I do actually. And in fact, here's a couple now.

1. The Candyfolk

The Candyfolk Queendom is located in Sweetopia. A continent that's populated by not just the candyfolk. But by various other sweet-themed monster races that were also created by Comet. But through a slightly different method. (Which I'll get into some other time.) The Island is located right next door to Pie Island.

While the candyfolk come in a large variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, the average body types tend to be around the curvy, pear-shaped, and plus size. It's especially common among female candyfolk. Male candyfolk typically lean more on towards rounded/dad bod and bear body types. Candyfolk who lean more on the slim/skinny, petite, and athletic/muscular side do exist. But they're very rare. And it's more common to find hybrids with those body types (Ex: Limone).

Since they were created by Comet, the candyfolk worship her as a goddess/deity. Even using her name in a similar manner to how people in real life use God in everyday life (Ex: The candyfolk equivalent of the real-life phrase "Oh My God!" is "Oh My Comet!".)

Some candyfolk have freckles all over their bodies. They're called "sugar marks". And it's most common to see on candyfolk based off of sugarcoated candies like gumdrops and ring candies.

Despite candy being used to make them, the candyfolk themselves are NOT edible. As they have flesh and bone just like any living organism.

Their magic is a combination of Butterfly magic and the candy used to create them. (This extends to their magical abilities.)

The Candyfolk are usually very friendly and welcoming people. Even to outsiders. They'll only act hostile if the person in question shows themselves to be a potential threat to the community.

Many people who find their way to the Candyfolk Queendom rarely ever want to go back to whatever tribe, clan, or king/queendom they came from. Not because the candyfolk won't let them (They would if the person wanted to.). But more because most of the people who end up there enjoy their time so much that they end up wanting to stay.

Cooking/Baking plays an important part in candyfolk culture. Right up to the point where many of them are taught how to cook and bake from a very young age.

The Candyfolk queendom is matrilineal. So the position as heir to the throne is handed down from mother to daughter. The current heir to the throne is Chocola's older sister Cocoa Dolce. (Here's a pic for reference.)

As pictured above, chocolate/caramel candyfolk tend to have hair that mimics the look of melting chocolate. There are some who don't have this feature. But it's pretty common for the most part.

Two-Toned/Multicolored hair is very common for them depending on the type of candy they are based on. Here are some examples.

The Candyfolk Queendom has an official welcoming committee led by Poppy Bubbles (This girl! )

The Candyfolk have their own royal guard that functions similarly to the Queensguard. But the main difference is that no one in the royal family is allowed to join. As it's seen as too high of a risk due to the nature of the job. They also are divided into six divisions. But go by different names.

The Candyfolk Queendom has a school known as St Buttercream Academy. A school founded by Cocoa & Chocola's grandmother Chocolietta Dolce. It was named in honor of her close friend St Beaulah Buttercream.

2. The Kelpies

The kelpies are descended from a herd of earth kelpies who were brought to Mewni by Glossaryck.

Kelpies have the ability to switch from a humanoid form to a horse/unicorn form. Here's an example.

Cecelia Amour

Kelpies never EVER cut their hair. Having long hair is seen as a sign of pride and honor in their culture. And cutting is seen as a sign of disrespect.

Many kelpies take pride in their appearance. As it is seen as a sign of self-love and care.

Earth kelpies are closer to their mythological incarnations than their Mewni counterparts.

Could you show aesthetic of Sweetopia?

Sure! Basically, this is pretty much it.

The Candyfolk Queendom (Sweetopia's Main Capital. Just thinking about any candy themed village/kingdom you find in media (ex: The Candy Kingdom from Adventure Time. Or Hasbro's Candyland board game.) and that's pretty much what it looks like.)

Northern Sweetopia (Cold af, Gingerbread houses abound. Basically looks like something out of a Christmas special. Mostly populated by mint & peppermint candyfolk. And where the Frostling & Angel Cake tribes are located.)

Southern Sweetopia (Hotter/Warmer areas, mainly where the spicy/hot candyfolk live. And also believed to be connected to the Underworld.)
