Day 7: Current book

I’m really loving this book at the moment!

It’s a lovely mixture of -2 of my favourite things- history and maths. It gives a great background to the history of ciphers as well as teaching you how to decipher along the way.

I’d highly recommend!

I was uploading more files to my kindle and came across The Philosophical Breakfast Club that I got after reading (and never finishing but i will deal with it) a book about cryptography and just remembered Charles Babbage. That man was a menace to society.

Just finished The Code Book, by Simon Singh

This was fun. While it's a bit out of date now, this was a really entertaining read, and I definitely feel like I've come away having learned something. The last chapter all about quantum computing gave me a headache, but overall this was great and surprisingly easy to digest.
