Yee-haw, y'all and happy Horse Ranch Day! 🐎
Today at Pemberley, The 19th of March
The infamous barouche box belonging to Lady Catherine de Bourgh rounded the far curve of the road, becoming visible to the residents of Pemberley. The Darcy’s and much of the staff were lined up by the front door, waiting to welcome their guests.
Mrs. Elizabeth Darcy commented on seeing the carriage, “Rather bold to travel in a conveyance with a collapsable roof, considering the weather is only beginning to warm up. Doesn’t the carriage look smart though.”
Mr. Darcy only replied, “This was by your demand, if you’ll recall.”
The barouche box turned into the drive, slowing in imminent expectation of stopping. Before the wheels had fully come to a halt, the door flew open.
Miss Georgiana Darcy let out an undignified squeak of surprise and perhaps fear.
A footman sprinted to the door to offer a hand for Lady Catherine as she volleyed herself from the carriage.
“Nephew,” she barked, “You will show me to my rooms.”
Mr. Darcy dutifully went to offer her his arm.
Miss Anne de Bourgh exited the carriage next, with considerably less fanfare than her mother. Miss Georgiana Darcy went to her. The two cousins exchange quiet words of polite greeting.
The Collins exited the vehicle last. Mr. Collins’s greeting included so much praise to his patroness that it left little room in the conversation for anything else. He offered one arm each to his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Collins and to Mrs. Darcy.
However, Mrs. Collins gently suggested, “Perhaps you can walk ahead, leaving Eliza and I to follow.”
“Of course, of course! You must have the delicate feminine conversations intrinsic to your sex.”
Mrs. Darcy smiled broadly as she took her friend’s hand. “Welcome to Pemberley. I’m afraid that I must demand you love it as much as I do.”

It’s finally time I actually post about these guys. But meet The Collins! I’ve changed a lot about them in the past year so I might as well (lore below)

I imagine Jacqueline mentoring Jacques like:
- use people as post horses!
-behind every great fortune lies a forgotten crime!
-always read the classics in their original languages!

OTGW The Ritual - Families: The Collins
Formed by Sara, his brother Wilson, their parents Oscar and Dalia, and her paternal grandmother Asali. Both Oscar and Dalia are mathematicians (they fell in love at college): Oscar works as a teacher at the local institute, and teaches in the course of Sara, Jason, and Wirt, while Dalia was hired by NASA and is a permanent mathematician. Because of this last, Dalia is out most of the year and does not see her family as much as she'd want, at least not physically. Sara is the most concerned about distance, but she adapts. Wilson is her older brother, who continuously bothers and loves her a lot; He is the captain of the local ballet team. Grandma Asali is a quiet old woman, but she usually talks to release a couple of curses or give good advice to her family, or both. On Thursdays, she plays bingo with Mrs. Daniels.
