What if I said the Colt symbolizes safety for Dean and revenge for Sam and John, for Dean it means that no matter what comes for him or his family he has something that can deal with it? For Sam and John it means that whatever killed Mary and Jess they have something that will kill it. What if I said that Sam was always more like John than Dean?
