1x22 DEVIL’S TRAP

3/12/26: The Road So Far… and it all ends in the next 42 minutes.

Sam doesn’t correct Dean when Dean says Sammy. That’s how you know it’s serious.

Dean is panicking and getting the hell out of Dodge which is probably the best thing for both of them. They should get on the road and away from where they are known to be.

Oh wow… that’s a really good point Sam makes. Meg didn’t mention a trade. John might have already bit the dust.

Once again Sam and Dean have flipped mindsets. Dean is set on finding John and Sam says they should just go after the demon as it’s what John would want.

But before anything they need help.

This is Bobby. Bobby is yet another person who John has *charmed*. Because John is as charming as stepping on a sea urchin.

Bobby is also a hunter and has a great deal of knowledge. So a hell of a lot more demons are possessing folks.

I swear to fucking fuck, if Meg killed the dog.

Hahaha they trapped Meg. This show is teaching me to always look at the ceiling when I walk into a room.

Dean is very angy this episode… 🍿

So now they are going to exercise the demon out of Meg. This is so intense, I love it. Meg finally confesses and then gets mad that Dean didn’t keep his promise. A demon, mad about a broken promise.

So NOW Bobby reveals that if they finish the exorcism the real Meg will die. And everyone but Dean wants to leave her like that. That’s fucked in my opinion.

Now the demon is gone and we are all still. The real Meg is dying but conscious. You can take the girl out of the bad, but you can’t take the baddie out of the girl, apparently. A year she was possessed, and her dying words are, “sunrise,” the last clue we get to John’s location.

Sam and Dean are on the road again. Sam tries to talk to Dean but Dean is right back to his 1x01 mentality of bad boy in a leather jacket, but we all know this isn’t the same Dean as in the pilot.

Sam is now tagging Baby’s trunk and I’m realizing how badly she needs to be washed.

“Since when do you care what Dad wants?” Dean is has situational awareness.

Wait I just had an incredible idea. Why don’t they just pull a Zootopia and swap the magic bullets into a normal gun? That would solve literally every issue they have right now. The demon gets the empty gun, and Sam and Dean kick its can when it least expects it.

Ah, so Sunrise is an apartment complex next to the river. And the demons could be anywhere looking like anyone.

We didn’t start the fire! 🎵 But we pulled the alarm.

Demons really like chicks with short hair, huh?

Woah, John’s a little tied up here 🥁 but actually what the hell is happening?

OH MY GOD WE ARE HOT FIREMEN. YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT, THIS WAS WORTH THE WAIT.

The demons are ⚫️👄⚫️ing again. And we are hosing them down with holy water!

The found John… and he’s alive. Sam makes the smart call of wondering if John is possessed. Ok he passed the holy water test.

The demon randomly possessed two new people. Everyone out here getting possessed. The demons are going at the door with an axe.

REVERSE SIN: The Shining reference.

The demon is wailing on Sam.

OFFICIAL SIN: Dean outright wastes a bullet. For the guy who always has a .45 on him why would he use the colt. I thought the colt was in the trunk.

Also, Dean killed a person! Like a person person!

Sam looks like a wounded dog with those black eyes.

Dean isn’t handling killing that guy very well.

Wow John was actually kinda nice there. I don’t know if I trust it. I have too many trust issues to believe this kindness isn’t laced with something.

The demon found them. But something doesn’t feel right.

REVERSE SIN: This is actually so devastating. Dean knows to not give John the Colt + John is possessed because John was too nice.

SHOOT DEAN. END IT NOW.

hand over mouth, sinking to floor, clutching heart, not breathing. Sam chooses Dean over John 😭😭😭😭😭

Not only is John possessed, but it’s the demon that killed their mom and Jess.

The way you can see Dean begin to cry even as he insults the demon because the demon pointed out Dean’s fear of not being needed.

Deans heart literally beating out of his chest and he’s still telling Sam to check on John. Dean is the eldest daughter.

The demon is still in John?!!?? Ok we need to shoot again.

I can’t think of a favorite moment. I am lost. Concerned. Intrigued. Scared. Confused. Overwhelmed. BABY. Fearful.

I have come back to add how pissed I am that Baby got destroyed and Dean wasn’t even in the front seat. I am gonna miss this car so bad. I am gutted.
