Pairing: The Creature / Adam Frankenstein x fem reader
Warnings/Tags: death, grief, cute cat, Adam loves a cuddle, lots of fluff, if you don't like cats this fic is not for you!
Word Count: 1.3k
A/N: thank you all so much for the love on my previous fic! This is a shorter fluffy fic but I'm thinking of doing a part two possibly with smut? Any suggestions let me know :) Also I have never had a cat so my apologies if Freddie the calico is unrealistic! My headcanon is that all creatures love Adam!!
Adam sat on his knees before the one person he could call his friend as the life slowly drained from his eyes.
“I know what you are...a good man... and you are my friend,” the old man held Adam’s face. “Find my granddaughter. Follow the stream north and you will find her. She will take care of you friend.” And with that the blind man drew his final breath.
-
Your feet crunched in the snow as you made your way to the woods. Beside you the pitter patter of your cat’s paws bouncing on the icy snow. The small creature picked up the pace as it spotted something in the clearing.
“Freddie!” you called but the cat ignored you. She meowed as if to say, ‘come on.’ You stopped as Freddie reached what or rather who, she was looking for. A tall man dressed in a soldier’s coat with long hair and an almost grey-white face stood before you. You were slightly startled by his presence, but he was even more startled than yours. He put both his hands up as if you were to attack or shoot at him. You frowned confused by this action.
“Hello there stranger,” you called out to him. Freddie rubbed her little head against Adam’s legs. You smiled at the stranger, “that’s Freddie she seems to like you.”
Adam lowered his hands and looked down at the affectionate creature. Although they had never met, Freddie’s instinct was to be kind towards Adam as she knew he would not harm her.
“Where are you headed stranger?” you asked stepping a bit closer. Adam tore his eyes from the cute creature to look at you. You were wrapped up warm in many layers and wore a knitted hat that matched Freddie’s winter coat she wore. He was taken aback by your beauty and kind eyes.
“My...friend. Looking for his...gr-granddaughter,” Adam replied slowly. “Oh,” you said, “you must’ve been the soldier that was keeping my grandfather company over winter.”
-
You walked side by side with Adam to your small one room cottage. You held the door open for him as he ducked down to enter your home. It was similar to your grandfather’s, but you had a larger collection of books that lay piled up near your small double bed. You took off Freddie’s winter coat before she ran to sit by the fireplace.
“Y-you like to read?” Adam asked as you got a fire started. “Yes, my grandfather taught me how to read and gifted me many of those books,” you replied, pulling out two chairs by the fire. “Please sit. Would you like some scones?” Adam nodded shyly before sitting down. Freddie leaped into his lap and curled up. Adam had never been so close to another creature before. The cat had unique markings.
“She really must like you, usually she’s quite shy,” you explained placing two plates of buttered scones with blackberry jam on the small table between you. “My little brother’s the one to name her Freddie, no matter how many times we explained to him that she’s a girl we just couldn’t convince him.” You scratched the back of Freddie’s ear making her purr. Adam copied your actions liking the calming sound coming from the creature.
“She’s a calico that’s why she has multiple colours. I like to think she’s a combination of multiple cats all rolled into one,” you explained. Adam smiled down at the cat. “You and I are a lot alike friend,” he whispered petting the cat.
“I wanted to thank you for keeping my grandfather company. I usually visit him regularly, but the snowstorm was so bad I couldn’t make it up to him so thank you.” The fire crackled as Freddie rested in Adam’s lap.
“He was my friend...and he took care of me,” Adam spoke, sadness in his voice. “Well, I hope I can be as caring as a friend as he was to you. You are welcome to stay with me as long as you need,” you responded. Adam gave you a crooked smile, slightly overwhelmed by your generosity mirroring your grandfather’s. You smiled back at him which caused Adam’s face to heat up, blushing.
-
Night fell and although you insisted Adam take your bed he refused. The best you could give him was a makeshift bed on the cottage floor made of spare pillows, cushions and a small mattress your younger brother would sleep on when he visited. Of course, Adam was too tall for the child sized mattress his feet dangled off the edge, but he was grateful for your generosity and happily lay down for the night.
Adam couldn’t sleep. He lay staring at the ceiling thoughts running through his head. The thoughts came to a halt as he heard sniffling from the other side of the cottage room. Adam sat up to see you on your side curled into a ball, trying to muffle your cries. He rose from his small bed making his way over to you. Freddie, who was curled up at your feet meowed, annoyed that this visitor was walking her from her beauty sleep.
Adam knelt down beside your bed. He pushed the hair that fell in front of your face behind your ear. You sat up in bed when you noticed him
“Sorry,” you sniffled, “I just miss my grandfather.” Your choked up voice felt like a stab in Adam’s heart. “M-me too,” Adam whispered. He wasn’t sure what compelled him, but he leant down to give you a hug. You hugged him back, holding him tight not wanting to let him go. Adam’s hug was warm and comforting. He felt butterflies in his stomach and a quietness to his mind as you tucked your face into the crook of his neck and gave him a gentle squeeze.
After a moment you removed your head cheeks bright red ready to apologise again for your tears. “I’m-” you began but as you moved your head the tips of your noses touched. Your eyes met and you could see Adam for what he was; a lonely, isolated creature with a heart full of love, just like you. Adam saw your beauty and sorrow, but most of all the kindness and love that was present just by looking at you.
Your lips were mere centimetres apart; the tiniest push or lean could have you two lip locked. Although Adam couldn’t fully comprehend this new feeling he felt, he knew he liked it...liked you and certainly liked being this close to you.
Meow. Freddie had crawled into bed and sat herself between the two of you looking for attention. You both leaned back to look down at her. Adam wanted to curse the sweet creature for ruining the moment. You sat back against the wall and stroked Freddie’s fur. But Adam gave in, giving her a scratch behind her ear.
“I must sl-sleep,” Adam stated standing up. You grabbed his hand giving it a gentle tug. “Please say,” you whispered. You moved over to the other side of the bed giving Adam space to lay down. Freddie meowed annoyed as you moved her too. Adam happily obliged and slid underneath the cover laying on his back. He wrapped an arm around you and pulled you in for another hug. You lay your head on his chest. The sound of his heartbeat lulling you back to sleep.
Freddie curled up at the end of the bed by your feet as she dozed off. Adam brushed his fingers through your hair loving the feeling of your soft locks between his fingertips. He gently placed a small kiss on your forehead, an action he had observed you doing to Freddie after telling her how much you loved her.
Adam felt peaceful. The sound of your gentle snores and the slight sound of wind outside relaxed him. He closed his eyes. His heart happy and warm as he held you all night long.

cw: none!
a/n: i had the urge to write these fluffy hcs before i went to sleep (i want to dream of him giving me a big hug tonight as we make dinner together hehe). i hope you enjoy <3
he doesn’t go to a barber for…reasons so you cut his hair for him
the first time he gripped onto his hair so tightly you though he might rip it all out; you could tell he was nervous – you knew how much he liked his hair so you had to promise not to cut too much off
just a healthy trim!
he trusts you completely with his hair now, so much so he even falls asleep as you give it a bit of maintenance
he likes to make dinner but at the start it lowkey sucked
you let him read your cookbooks and he’s an amazing chef in no time
he has you trial his baking too and he’s always so anxious you won’t like the new recipe he used
like he’s wringing his hands in the apron you made him and everything
but, of course, you’d love anything he makes
he’s such a fixer-upper! you complain that the faucet is too leaky? the next day it’s been fixed. you need a stool to reach a high shelf? you can already smell the wood he’s sawing. perhaps a doorway is too short for your height? he’s got that sorted somehow!
he is the keeper of the forest after all…
he always feels guilty asking for seconds (ok who am i kidding it’s thirds he’s a big guy) since he thinks you’ll die on the spot if you don’t eat enough but he has such natural puppy dog eyes you’d feed him the whole pot of food without having a single bite
speaking of, he has learnt to oh so slightly use his puppy dog eyes to his advantage (most of the time he doesn’t realise he’s even making the cutest face you’ve ever seen in your life)
if you have to go out and work in the garden but he wants to cuddle juuuuust a little while longer he will be pulling them out
he does feel super guilty doing it though but not enough to stop
he just craves your affection and validation so much can you blame him?!
he reads books to you all the time but the first time you decide to read he knows he’s fallen in love with you
absolutely loves when you two discuss opinions on whatever novel you have been reading
getting to debate over this and that, especially knowing you take him seriously, is riveting for him
you don’t treat him as if he’s incapable of critical thinking unlike some people (cough victor cough)
the first kiss you two shared was actually very awkward
he kept his eyes open and you miscalculated the height difference between you two and you felt so awful for ruining his first kiss you cried
but then he panics because he thinks he did something wrong and upset you so now he’s freaking out and on the verge of tears too
he reverts back to old habits and starts shrinking away from you in fear
he’s brave enough to ask what he did wrong and you’re so confused because no, no it’s what i did wrong
now HE’S confused because he thought it was perfect and amazing and romantic
now you’re both staring at each other like??????? 👁️👁️
anyways many improvements were made since then! you guys will communicate everything
he loves to kiss you on the forehead when you wake up
and before you sleep
and before you walk away from him to go to the bathroom
basically he’s always giving you a lil smooch on the head
if you do it to him he will melt and he’s not ashamed about it
real lover boy
oh you definitely made a robe for him, and probably a new wardrobe too, and he’s constantly wearing it around the house
you make sure not to throw out or damage his old clothes though since you know how much they mean to him
he appreciates your thoughtfulness so much it makes him weep
it’s a bit too small since you didn’t have enough material lying around the house but he loves it since you made it
an added bonus for him is that it smells like you
you’ll catch him sniffing it and when he realises you caught him he’ll try pretend he was doing something else but he’s so bad at playing it off 😭
he gives up and sheepishly smiles at you instead
ever since then you’d make sure to spray your perfume on his clothes you freshly laundered or made for him
he loves to get you gifts! mainly books if you both share that passion but if not, he will try his best to find something he knows you’d be interested in
he might write you a poem, get some fruits you like, try his hand at sewing clothes for you, the list is endless really
there’s nothing he wouldn’t attempt for you
it might not turn out the greatest but seeing his hopeful face and the amount of effort he put into it is more than enough for you
i like to imagine that when he was so far north he had to learn to fish, so i think he would also like to teach you how to fish too
you both have a great time and although you suck at fishing he would never be cruel to you about it
he might tease you a bit
you had to teach him what teasing was btw
the first time you did it to him he looked so deeply hurt because he thought you were being serious my shaylaaaaa
now he’s got the hang of it! his delivery might be a bit awkward but it’s part of the charm
can’t sleep without you being in the bed with him
he actually doesn’t need as much sleep as you do but just getting to be in your presence is so calming for him
it’s basically meditation
he’s still on high alert though, he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you and he always fears that ever since you chose him (he swoons whenever he says the words in his head), outsiders will target you too
anyways
he enjoys being the big spoon but being the little spoon is his guilty pleasure
he also likes to sleep with his legs tangled up in yours
you complain about how cold he is but you lock your legs together before he can move away
a blessing during the summer and a curse during the winter
i think he enjoys a lot of tactile experiences so getting to feel your skin brush against his just does something to him
he was scared to let you see his body at first
he thought the scars and mismatched skin you turn you away from him like so many others
instead you empathised for all that he’s been through
you both cried in front of your fireplace as you each recounted the scars, both physical and mental, you carried
sometimes his skin or his bones or his scars ache terribly (who knew reanimating a corpse would have that effect) so you make special ointments for him and rub it into whichever part of him is sore that day
perhaps he cries
always holds your hand when you do this and just…stares into your eyes
Hi! I’m not sure if you’re taking requests but if you are how would Adam react to a reader embarrassingly terrified of the dark?? (I’m still afraid of the dark at my big ass age 🥀)
oh this is so cute and sweet and i love this so much because adam would never in a million years let you be scared alone 🥺
safe in your arms
authors note: this is like 700 words of pure feel good adam fluff please enjoy 🖤💋
He would notice the moment the cottage slipped into darkness, before you even had time to panic.
A violent gust slammed the shutters, rattling the windows so hard it was enough to shake the walls. The fire flickered, hissed, and then then went out. Plunging the cottage into blackness that felt too thick, too heavy, too close.
It was then that your breath hitched and Adam heard it instantly.
“Little one?” His voice came warm and calm, laced with quiet worry. “Come here. Do not sit there alone.”
You didn’t even manage a reply because was already moving, crossing the floor in a few solid steps. His hands found you in the dark. They were big, careful and steady as he guided you against his chest like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“I’m sorry,” you muttered, mortified by the shake in your voice.
“No,” he said gently, tucking your head under his chin. “You never apologize for being afraid.”
His arms wrapped around you, strong and enveloping, his body a wall of warmth against the chill that crept through the cottage. He started stroking gentle, soothing circles along your back as an attempt to ground you.
Then the cottage groaned from the storm and you flinched.
Adam pulled you even closer, one hand cupping the back of your head.
“It’s alright,” he murmured softly. “I have you. Nothing is getting near you while you are in my arms.”
“It’s just… too dark,” you breathed, voice barely a whisper.
“Then lean on me,” he said without missing a beat. “I will stay with you until it passes. For as long as you want.”
His thumb brushed your jaw, feather-light. “You are not weak for this,” he added quietly. “Fear does no make you small. It just tells me exactly where you need me.”
Another crack of thunder shook the cottage and you instinctively burrowed into his chest.
Adam wrapped his coat around both of you like a cocoon, sealing out the cold, sealing you into him.
“There,” he whispered near your ear, breath warm and soft. “You are safe. I am right here.”
“You won’t let go?” you asked, barely above a breath.
His arms tightened, protective and sure. “Not a chance. I will hold you through every shadow this night throws at us.”
And with Adam’s steady hands, his quiet murmurs, his unshakable presence wrapping around you, the darkness didn’t feel nearly as terrifying anymore.
After a decade of solitude, the Creature, Adam, finally found the potential creator to make his companion. The Creator felt guilty about her daughter's death, so she reincarnated the young lady with the resemblance of her daughter and expected Adam to be the New Creature's companion. With the unexpected incident, the Creator must escape to protect two innocent and kind creatures, you and Adam. Would Adam be a good friend of yours? Could Adam teach you how to read? And, between flowers and berries, which one would he prefer?
THE PRINCESS AND THE KNIGHT
The Creature (Adam) x The New Creature! Fem! Reader (4.2k words) — It's fluff! You're learning to talk, while Adam is learning to love a woman. You both heal each other's hearts in your own ways. I hope you enjoy reading this short story!
“You know, Adam, before you gave me an idea of reincarnation, I thought my daughter’s father no longer worked with that cruel man who wanted to possess my daughter. Since she was gone forever, and he knew it, I thought he would stop chasing me. I thought, with my presumed freedom, I could redeem myself for the wrong path I chose… The wrong path that led my daughter to the death,” the Creator said, walking around the abandoned tower, which was her deceased relative’s property, to pack her important stuff and getting ready to escape from this sanctuary.
To not bring danger into your life.
With melancholy, the Creator looked at you, the New Creature, who was sitting in front of the fireplace next to bears and dolls, having a little tea party on the soft rug, wearing a gown like a gentlewoman but without a corset or a crinoline. You had spent few weeks with the Creator whom you and Adam called Mother, which she fulfilled your bleak thoughts and gave you ideas of living: language and manners. Adam also learned many things from Mother, after trying to understand the world by himself for a decade.
It was as if the destiny led Adam and Mother to meet before you became you, and Adam helped Mother to create you…
You would be the one and only companion of Adam, living forever without trauma, and your existence cured his agony as if a magic balm. Although you looked at him with blank eyes since the first day you laid eyes on him, different from the way you looked at Mother—sweet and hopeful, Adam was still friendly to you and took care of you so well.
Today, you could speak many words but no complex structure. You knew how to clean yourself with a soaked cloth without ruining seams on your skin. Sometimes, you used Mother’s perfume, because it scented strangely florid. You also understood that Adam, the Creature like you, was a boy, and you were a girl, so you both were meant to respect the difference between you and him.
Since all organs for making you were from deceased gentlewomen with wisdom around the country, you became one of them: a gentlewoman with wisdom. Although you noticed stitches on your skin and mismatched hair color, you still thought you were beautiful. Adam said it everyday: “You look beautiful.” And that was why you began to trust him.
Moreover, you were imaginative and decent—a quick learner yourself. You loved picking up some dresses from the luggage of the Creator’s daughter and tried to dress like illustrations of the princess in the only fairytale book you had.
“Milk? Tea?” You asked one of your dolls, and you imagined it just gave you a reply. You had never broken anything, so Mother let you use real teacups, and Adam let you have wild berries in your plate.
Sometimes, Adam wore a top hat like a gentleman and joining your little tea party. Oh, right, he should join your party today, so you looked at him. But it seemed like Adam was talking about some serious stuff with Mother right now, so you understood that you should be in your secluded place with bears and dolls that couldn’t reply your questions—Do not interrupt Mother when she’s explaining something stressful and long to Adam.
“Cookie? Bread?” You asked one of your dolls again, and that was right, it would answer you only in your mind.
“I thought I could live in peace with my new daughter. I thought I could… I thought I would. I’m the most foolish mother in the world.”
“You’re not foolish,” Adam said, holding Mother’s luggage in his hand. He didn’t expect her to leave so soon, but at least she made the Creature who was born by the same process as his. “You tried to protect her, Mother, but you didn’t know that the cruel man’s people were on that way.”
“They killed her by accident,” Mother sobbed, but she muffled her trembling voice with her palm. She didn’t want you to be concerned about this situation. “I don’t know what happened to them, after their leader knew that my daughter was gone, but I’m sure that I’d suffer like them if I couldn’t run away as far as possible.”
Adam and Mother walked downstairs, heading to the front of the building. There was her own carriage that she would be a coachman herself.
“Protect her, Adam. I’m begging you,” she emphasized, after placing her luggage in the carriage. “I’m not sure if being with her would save her or bring danger toward her.”
You, wondering why Adam and Mother talked so long, stood up from the fireplace and headed to the window. You saw Mother sitting on the coachman’s seat, hands holding reins.
Adam looked up and met your gaze through the clear glass. You thought he was sad, like when you said, “Wild berries… I ate,” but you didn’t know that he was sad because of you and Mother. Was it because of wild berries again?
The Creature himself wanted to spend some time with his creator, but that person was mad all the time, so it wasn’t strange that he felt sorry to see you living without your creator—Mother.
This incident mirrored his past, although Mother was a compassionate person, like the blind man he had learned how to speak with when he escaped his own burning tower.
“She looks like my daughter so much… Too much. I myself am surprised by what I have done. I shouldn’t intend to make someone look like her. To bring danger into her life. I… I shouldn’t bring her into the same fate my daughter had. I’m sorry.”
“Mother… I may help you,” Adam said, looking back at your creator. His stitched hand placed on the back of hers, eyes wide with both hope and despair.
“You’re such a pure soul, Adam. I don’t want you to involve yourself with cruel people. They have twisted beliefs, and I do want you both to not stay close to those people. You and my new daughter should be safe. I should distract them all from traveling around this part of this country.”
Mother held Adam’s hand, and he could feel how cold and tense her palm was. He wanted to help her, to repay her for her abilities to create his companion, but she didn’t look at him—or you—as science objects. Adam was as if one of her family members, young and sympathetic, and you were new to the world, so—no—she could deal with whatever she had experienced in.
Two pure souls must be safe.
“Promise me, Adam. Promise me that you’ll not let anyone harm her. And you two will live together forever, having no one tearing you both apart. I don’t know when I’ll come back… I don’t exactly know when, and I don’t know exactly how, so I must want you to promise me that you and she will be safe. If I couldn’t come back here before the winter, then you and my new daughter should leave. Forget this place. Forgive me… Live and be happy with everyday.”
“I… I promise.”
For two days, the rainstorm came to the shoreline your tower located on, and this morning, the sun finally shone on the window of your bedroom.
You didn’t understand why Mother must leave. You were confused and… unhappy, as if Adam was unhappy about your greed for wild berries. But to know the possibility that Mother would come back—Adam tried so hard to explain many possibilities with strange words you didn’t know how to spell—made you feel less lonely and think about harvesting berries with Adam.
She would come back. You weren’t alone. And everything would be fine.
It was what you understood.
And now, you were ready to distract yourself with the forest near your place.
“Hat… Please,” you said, standing in the private area where you usually dressed and imitated Mother’s smile on the mirror. Adam gave you a hat you requested, still standing close to the dressing screen in case you wanted anything.
“The path may have mud,” Adam mumbled, hands fidgeting at the hem of his frayed shirt. “Your clothes may be stained.”
The thought of standing here, next to your dressing screen, made his heart throb. He himself didn’t understand why he wasn’t himself lately, but he assumed that he was just excited to explore the forest after the heavy rain with you.
“Adam…”
You stepped out of the dressing screen, beaming as the sun shone brightly on your flushing face. Your hat decorated with ribbons—with your favorite colors—suited your appearance nicely. Adam widened his eyes, as if he was watching the angel standing before him.
He adored when you enjoyed dressing yourself, being cheerful colors in his life.
“But I can wash it…” Adam smiled, seamed hand reaching out and holding yours. You stepped close and clung to him, cheek touching his upper arm through his rough shirt.
“Berries,” you whispered, looking up at him with pleading eyes, “and flowers.”
Adam sighed with contentment, feeling the warmth of the sun on his facial skin—Or it was the result of his trembling heart. Or it was because of the thought about having you all for himself.
Forever.
You sat on a rock nearby the rivulet, letting a little bird sit on your palms. You imitated the bird’s sound, because you wanted to communicate with it. You didn’t know the meaning of your strange noise, so did the little bird on your palms. Meanwhile, Adam walked around the woods, having deers and squirrels as companions.
The cold air and the smell of soil after the rain could refresh his mind. He sometimes glanced at you who enjoyed talking to the little bird, and he noticed that you didn’t even know there was the little squirrel sitting on your hat.
Adam stopped gathering wild berries, smiling at the sight of your delicate appearance. He placed the basket of fruit on the ground, hands touching the tree, leaning his body against it. Animal companions sensed that Adam was indeed into the New Creature in the exquisite gown, but he was just an admirer from afar—too shy—and firstly thought he himself wanted only a friend, not a lover.
He hadn’t understood the concept of love, but he was learning about it. The fairy tale he read for you every night taught him a thing or two, which made him consider that love might be something unreachable, especially when he intended to have a companion…
Not a lover.
But you…
“You’re beautiful.”
You were a creature, like him, yet beautiful and delicate as if a porcelain doll. Every time he looked at you, he couldn’t tear his gaze away from you that easily.
At the moment, the light didn’t touch his cold skin, but his cheeks felt warmer than usual. His chest was filled with adoration when he thought you were the real angel of his.
You were his.
His companion. His woman.
You were with him now.
As he smiled, his heart throbbed… He felt so alive. You had no idea that only your existence could cure his agony and loneliness. After a decade of isolation, he had you. You were his savior, truly.
He taught you how to read, and you taught him how to love—love deeper than he loved wild berries and flowers.
Was it supposed to be the feeling of love? Was it just attachment and belonging?
“So beautiful…”
The bird flew back to its mother, and the squirrel landed on the branch above your head, which the light movement reminded you that the squirrel had been with you all the time. You laughed at yourself, while eyes looked around the forest with wonder. Leaves and the river were more enchanting than illustrations in the book, and—fascinatingly, the cold breeze became your favorite thing. You took a deep breath, smiling happily.
Then, you shifted your gaze to vines and green moss around you. And, for wild flowers, they seemed fragile yet strong enough to not flow in the air. Adam had told you, “You’re like a wild flower,” and you thought you understood that.
You got up, heading to white flowers. Hands picked them up, trying to organize them and mimic the captivating painting in your bedroom. You remembered that the bouquet had small ribbons, but you didn’t want to tear your own clothes for it, so you used your own hands instead.
Anyway, the painting had no scents; real flowers had scents. You loved this fragrance more than Mother’s perfume; it was soft, sweet, making you feel calm.
Then, you looked into the rivulet, the reflection in the water blurring stitches and seams on your cheeks and forehead. From your own sight, this reflection made you look more like the young woman in Mother’s locket—her daughter—than your usual appearance. You thought you were beautiful—like that poor soul—but would your presence be enough for Mother to return as soon as possible?
Your eyes were warm with tears, and… somehow, you didn’t understand why delight stayed shorter than gloom. You knew that you became you by great pieces of corpses. You knew that the biggest inspiration for the niece of the scientist—your creator, Mother—was the death of the daughter.
You didn’t know if staying forever and distracting yourself with beautiful gowns, or flowers, or berries would be enough to make you enjoy your life.
The life of someone…
But it was just a random thought, right? You had a brain, and Adam taught you about imagining pictures of things you read to improve your thoughts.
Right, Adam was with you.
Adam was still with you.
He had never called you by the name of Mother’s daughter. He would let you decide which name you preferred to call yourself, although you still couldn’t decide. He even let you try to wear a gentlemanly top hat, in case you preferred male attire. He had never intended to make you become the person who was already dead. He just looked at you as his companion, understanding your confusion and curiosity, accepting your decision and dreams about hosting perfect tea parties every Thursday or baking bread by yourself.
Adam always looked at you, because you are you.
“Adam…”
You looked up, searching for the only companion of yours. Finally, you found him standing behind a tree.
Beautiful…
Adam himself wasn’t sure why his heart beat quicker when your eyes shone brightly and your smile were sent to him. The simple thing felt so special for the forsaken soul, and he didn’t know how to handle it.
He shifted his gaze and grabbed the basket, continued gathering wild berries he and you liked, but his hands were trembling. Deers and squirrels knew immediately that he was into you, not mere companionship, but who would enlighten this shy creature about courting a woman?
And the new creature, yourself, wasn’t sure why he abruptly avoided the gaze—Oh? He was fumbling. How could the strong man like him fumble?
His hand grasped a branch of berries, yet his steps seemed unsteady—tripping—and wild berries he already gathered nearly spilled out from the basket. The squirrel settling on the back of a doe shook its head with disapproval.
You didn’t know why the picture of Adam being clumsy made you chuckle. But, suddenly, you thought he might be sad, like the time you ate all wild berries… Right, he stumbled.
And he might be sad.
Holding the bunch of flowers in your hands, you ran to Adam. The beautiful gown, already untidy, sank into muds, and it might make Adam feel tired of washing it, but you thought you would help him wash it.
As Adam stood on his feet, back toward you, your hand reached out and touched his shoulder. As if he couldn’t hear your steps but his own turmoil in his own head, he was startled and turned around quickly.
“Miss,” he greeted, his pale cheeks blushing, his eyes wide. He would call you like this, until you figured out what name you would love to be called.
“Adam,” you said his name, since it was one of words you could speak. “Flower.”
You picked one of wild flowers in your hand, tucking it behind his ear. He was so tall, and you must stand on the tip of your feet to look closely if the flower was at the right place.
But, for Adam, he was speechless, only widening his eyes with surprise. He could hear his own heartbeat—couldn’t you hear it?
“F-For me?” He stuttered yet stood still, no more stumbling, eyes looking at you closely. “You’re so kind.”
You smiled and grasped his free hand, guiding him to follow you. Your small form was more powerful than his, but it wasn’t physical strength that made him easy to be pulled.
Then, you sat down near the rivulet, pointing to reflection of you and Adam. He knelt down next to you, and he saw his face without stitches. He looked… normal… in gentle waves of water. It was odd for him. But to focus on the flower tucking behind his ear made him sane.
He looked at you, and you looked at him.
“You’re beautiful,” you said it, like when he said to you. And genuineness in your eyes comforted him even more, guaranteeing him that he didn’t listen to the untruth.
“You’re beautiful, too,” Adam mumbled, smiling shyly. “So beautiful… I can’t take my eyes off you.”
You chuckled, sitting on your own skirt, then repeated: “Beautiful.”
Your hands cupped his cheeks, tilting your head when you looked into his eyes. He was caught off guard by your gesture—so intimate, so gentle—since it resembled one of illustrations in the fairytale book. The Princess held the Knight’s cheeks, then the Knight leaned closer.
Adam swallowed, and he leaned into your touch. His eyes were pleading, expecting you to do something like… kissing him.
Please, please…
Kiss him.
“Where is her relative’s tower? I don’t see anything bigger than that eerie church.”
But Adam pulled back and shifted his gaze to the path near the forest. You didn’t know why he did that, but you followed his tense gaze. It was the first time you saw other humans and—weapons?
You gasped, then Adam covered your mouth with his calloused palm. Although from the distance between you and those men were far, you stayed quiet for Adam’s sake.
“I found only abandoned barns and one inn on the south. Those old people thought I were a thief, so they gave me bread and rum.”
“Bread and rum? How lucky you are. The old farmer just threw a straw at my face, thinking I’d sell him a satanic book or something.”
“No wonder why your beard looks like a mess.”
You didn’t understand the entire thing those people were talking, but you nestled yourself in Adam’s embrace. You felt uncomfortable and didn’t want to look at them.
“Uh, that woman flees quicker than the bird.”
“We should check other towns, you know. Can’t waste our time with this sinister location.”
“Yes, we should.”
Adam sent you back to the tower, where you sat on the armchair, sinking yourself into the soft cushion as if it could hide your body. Your eyes stared at the cold, empty fireplace, wondering when Adam would come back.
He followed those huntsmen who worked for the cruel man—whom you wondered if one of them was the father of the dead daughter or not.
For the entire afternoon, until the early evening, Adam came back. He just pried into those people’s journey, checking if all of them finally left the town. Then, he rushed to the tower where he and you stayed together, waiting for Mother to come back—or if she couldn’t come back, then both of you would go out of this town as well.
As Adam opened the front door, you knew well that it was him. But you needed to make sure, like he taught, that the man on the front hall was him. You shouldn’t rush from your seat, until you heard his voice.
“They’re gone.”
His voice resonated through the hall, and that made you get up from your seat quickly. You ran to the stairs and watched Adam. He was walking upstairs, and his hair was soaked. The soft rain outside made the air colder and the mist thicker, which you knew Adam disliked them.
“Coat,” you said. When you stopped before you, you asked him to take off his coat. He firstly thought you didn’t want the rug on the stairs soaked with drops of water, so he willingly took off and gave it to you.
“But they may come back anytime.”
While Adam walked into the living room and prepared the fireplace, you walked into the bathroom where you threw his soaked coat, including your muddy gown for the journey around the forest, into the empty bathtub. You washed your hands for a brief moment, then headed back to the living room.
“They want Mother?” You asked, standing at the entrance and watching Adam warm his hands with flames.
“Yes,” he sighed. “They won’t harm us if they don’t see us… Or if they see us, they may not want to harm us. But I don’t know the future.”
“I look like her…”
“No, you’re not,” Adam said abruptly. He knew that you understood many things, because you were born as a gentlewoman with wisdom, different from him who was born as a strong soldier of the troops. “Something in you resembles to the daughter, but it doesn’t resemble entirely.”
“Still look like.”
“You’re not her.”
…
“Trust me.”
In the middle of the night, Adam listened to the fairytale story you read. He was sitting at the end of the bed, leaning his back against the bed’s pillar. He noticed that you were more comfortable than the early evening and more confident than the last week you practiced reading, and you began to adore the name of the princess in the book.
“I like this name,” you added, and you pointed to yourself when you said the name.
Adam repeated the name, smiling when he saw you smiled. “You want to name yourself with this name?”
You nodded, then closed the book and set it on the nightstand. Your puff sleeves lightly moved when you reached out and grabbed the basket of wild flowers and berries.
“Flowers? Berries?”
Adam raised his brow, looking at wild plants in your soft hands. “Berries, thank you—”
You teased him. You ate two berries and smiled with mischief. He widened his eyes with surprise… He thought you would give him berries.
“Is it a game?”
“Yes,” you replied, swallowing sweet and sour tastes. “Again?”
He chuckled and said: “Sure.”
“Flowers? Berries?”
Adam contemplated for a moment, before saying: “Flowers.”
And you ate berries again. He widened his eyes, chuckling with disbelief. “You’re going to eat all of them again.”
You said nothing but placed the basket carefully on the nightstand, shifting closer to him. You had one berry in your hand and fed him.
Adam’s lips opened for you, relishing the light touch of your fingertips on his cold skin, then savored the wild fruit you provided. His mismatched eyes looked at your lighthearted face, so unguarded and attractive. He wondered what it was in your mind… He wondered why you smelled so sweetly…
And he wondered why your fingers still touched his lips, curious why his heart throbbed more than usual.
“Stay,” you began, voice low like a whisper. Your eyes observed his presence.
“You want me to stay?” He asked, his voice trembling when you shifted closer to him.
“Stay with me,” you begged, hands shifting to his neck. “Please.”
Adam didn’t even move away when you sat on his lap, arms wrapping around his shoulders. You shut your eyes and leaned your forehead against his, relishing you two’s closeness that always made you comfortable.
“Princess,” you whispered, and that reminded him of one illustration in the book you just closed. The Princess and the Knight—Of course. They seemed to be a perfect couple. Lovable and forever. Sensual and beautiful.
“Princess?” He shut his eyes as well, arms wrapping around your waist. He couldn’t help but nuzzle his nose to your soft cheek, making you giggle. He wanted to do this for so long, and you just provided him with this intimate gesture.
“The Princess kisses the Knight,” you cooed, pulling back and looking at him. Your hand cupped his cheek, eyes gleaming with affection.
Adam leaned his face against your touch—He loved every touch you did toward him.
But the thing he didn’t know was your next request.
“Kiss me.”
Adam’s breath hitched, blushing and melting at the same time. You just wanted him to kiss you? Like the fairy tale? Like the casual, intimate thing that happened between a boy and a girl?
“Kiss me, Adam…”
How could the Knight dismiss the Princess’ request?
Thank you for reading my fic! You may tell me if you like this couple 💗 If you enjoy my writing, you may explore something smutty about The Creature x You on my blog 👀 Have a nice day, the Creature's girlfriends! Xx

Fear had never been something you felt coursing through your veins when it came to him.
Curiosity, on the other hand, had felt something definitive for the both of you. Human and… someone more, stronger in a lot of ways, yet that much more fragile in others, both curious about each other.
When you first gazed upon him—Adam, as you now refer to him, much to his delight—curiosity was the first thing you recall feeling. He had qualms regarding his appearance, as you could clearly tell, and he was hiding even from you. He moved from shadow to shadow, as quietly as possible, always looking over his shoulder.
Only when his eyes landed upon your figure did he stop and reconsidered his choice, albeit for a single moment.
When you approached him, he backed away from you; you inched closer, he ensured there was more space between the two of you. When you stepped into the shadows, in his comfort space, could he finally exhale, audibly so, and freeze, long enough for you to study him.
“What happened to you?” you asked.
“I am made by the hands of a cruel man.”
You held your breath as you came even closer to examine him to the best of your abilities. It was tough to do so in the darkness, but you dared not ask him to step outside of what little comfort you presumed he had. There were scars all over his face and hands, of that you were certain. You suspected the rest of his body carried the same marks.
“Are you in any pain?”
He fell silent, unsure of how to answer you. You could tell he was struggling from his small grunts, so you took his hand into yours, an act of kindness that to you felt so natural, yet to him felt startling and downright shocking.
“You shouldn’t be out here alone, in the woods,” you continued. “Come with me.”
“Where to?”
“Warmth.”
He seemed confounded by your kindness, offering him a place to sleep in your house, as well as food and warmth. He studied everything with a fascination that almost exceeded humanity, but as he finally took off the big cloak hiding him from your sight, you saw more of him and you understood, with a certain horror, that he had indeed been created by the hands of a madman.
And yet you’ve known no gentler soul than that of Adam’s. No man had ever been kinder or more timid than him. It took you by surprise each time; he never forgot to say please and thank you, always helped you with chores—as a way to express his gratitude for allowing him to stay with you, you presumed—and always built a fire in the evening for the two of you. The nights were growing colder and colder, and the woods were not safe, particularly not in the dark.
“You do not have to do all the hard work around here,” you said to him one evening, a fortnight after your first meeting. “I can manage.”
“I would like to provide you with help. To—thank you for allowing me to stay.”
You smiled at him. “It is my pleasure. I hope you are comfortable.”
“You provide great comfort. And warmth.”
“I have to ask… what is your name? Do you have a name?”
He faltered, and instantly you knew the answer to your question—and subsequently regretted it.
“My creator’s name was Victor Frankenstein.”
“He never gave you a name?”
“No.”
“Hmm. Very well. Have you… heard any name you might like?”
“I… read a tale of the first man on earth, Adam. And his time in the Garden of Eden with Eve.”
“How about Adam then? Would you like that?”
He smiled; by gods, he smiled and looked wildly beautiful as he did so.
“Adam. Yes,” he concluded as he sat next to you by the fire.
That had become somewhat of a routine for the two of you, to huddle up by the fire on cold winter nights and on occasion read. Adam remained so curious about everything, and his eyes sparkled when he saw you with books. He always asked what you were reading and if you were finished with the book, he’d start right away; if you were only beginning to read it, he’d ask you to read out loud. Sometimes you’d both read the same book twice or even thrice, as they were hard to come by.
But Adam didn’t mind, and you certainly didn’t.
Months passed by in this fashion, with the two of you finding a natural rhythm to the daily life you were building together. It all came naturally, as if there was no other prospect for either one of you. Adam seemed more than content to take care of the heavy lifting around and inside the house, as well as offering you protection from external threats. You assured him that there were less of those than one might think, especially around those parts of the countryside, but he continued as such. You learned it was his way of showing affection—that, and bringing you various trinkets from his trips outside, which included a variety of leaves, a bracelet, a couple of blankets and flowers.
He always brought you flowers.
And you always kept them and the leaves in carefully made ornaments.
Often it all felt too good to be true; you were almost afraid to hold such tender moments close to your chest and to share them with Adam. He’d told you his tale, how he came into this world and how he came to life, what his creator, the man by the name of Victor Frankenstein, had done and his treatment of Adam, all of the loss and pain he’d endured in such a short time span. Your heart broke and ached for him all the same.
You ached seeing him remain full of curiosity, tenderness and love, even joy more often than not.
He was human by any definition you could think of.
You did whatever you could to soothe some of his pain as well; when he awoke during the night, screaming and crying in fear, you sat next to him till the morning, gently stroking his hair and holding him close, whispering small encouragements in his ear.
“Do you not fear me?” he’d asked once during the night. Somehow by that point, he was the one holding you, slightly obdurate as it might have been. “Are you not repulsed by my nature?”
“Should I be?”
That had obviously never crossed his mind, for it rendered him speechless.
“I do not know. I—I do not think so.”
“I do not think so either.”
“I have done… terrible things. Unspeakable things to men who were merely standing by.”
You turned towards him, grazing his cheek and feeling his warm breath over your lips. “Then we mustn’t speak of them.”
And you didn’t. As the winter stretched out and the cold engulfed the country, you and Adam remained warm and full in spite of it all. You were never not enthralled seeing him interact with animals so easily. It felt beyond endearing, and you particularly enjoyed watching him feed the deer that often gathered outside of the house.
Everything about him felt easy and kind and beautiful, and if you were being honest with yourself in the increasingly rarer lonesome moments of yours, you’ve become very fond of Adam.
In truth, you believed you loved him.
How, precisely, you could not tell. Perhaps the longing hiding in your ribcage, begging to be gently exposed, was not from a place of genuine need, but rather worry.
You tried to stifle it. You had all the time in the world, you felt. And truthfully, you were not certain how you could broach the subject with Adam, if there was even need for it. There was nothing which insisted upon being defined—all feelings passed with ease and mutual understanding between you and him, and you wished for nothing else of this life.
“Can you read me some more of the book, please?”
Adam’s request came tonight after eating soup, some stew with carrots and potatoes and a pie you baked for dessert. You were both full and content, now by the fire. You held Pride & Prejudice in your hands, re-reading it for what felt like the hundredth time.
It was yours and Adam’s favorite.
You chuckled. “We’ve read this so many times already.”
“Please?”
He blinked slowly at you, a gesture you felt he did subconsciously, yet it was beyond endearing to you.
You knew you couldn’t resist, and ultimately, Adam knew it too. He sat cross-legged before you, his eyes unmoved from the direction of your face as you opened the book and cleared your throat.
“From the beginning?”
“If you’d like. Thank you.”
“’It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighborhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of someone or other of their daughters.’”
Adam smiled, and you did too. You did not know how long you read into the night or when your eyelids began to feel heavy, nor when you finally drifted off to sleep, once waking by the swing of familiar, strong arms, carrying you to bed and cuddling next to you. All you knew is that you were as warm as you’ve been for months now, heart and soul both full, never aching.
“I love you,” came from his throat, words so saccharine and fulfilling you felt your eyes tear up, closed as they were.
You knew there was no need to say it. After all, you hadn’t said it even when you thought of it and wanted to. You knew that what you and Adam shared transcended mere words and actions.
And yet you couldn’t help but reciprocate, still and cozy in the dimmed light of the fire still cracking somewhere in the grand room. “I love you as well, Adam.”
Adam seeing a rainbow, I doubt he’s seen one yet and I want him to behold wonders
Anon this would be seriously such a sweet experience for him. 😭
I can imagine him one day coming back to the forests he used to know. He's spent so many years traveling. All this time getting back through the snow, nothing but white for miles, just the blinding sun at his back and the ocean wind freezing in his hair.
It seems like spring when he crosses into the treeline, warm in a way he hasn't known in months. Or was it close to a year now--maybe longer, he can't remember. There are only so many days of nothingness before they begin to blur.
But everything is alive here.
The river, the birds, the animals. The rain falling in sweet, solid hyphens against fir trees. Even the smell of petrichor seems so tangible he could reach out and cradle it within his palm.
And as he steps out into a clearing, he sees it: seven bands of color in the sky, bent into a vibrant arc between clouds.
He doesn't cry this time. Doesn't shed a tear for its beauty, or falter under its incredible weight.
Adam sits in the clearing. On the moss, and rocks, and duff. He sits and he watches. He takes it in like a flower drinks of the sun.
He allows himself to enjoy this simple pleasure in a way that finally doesn't hurt.
Summary: Adam finds a "romance" novel you had for some reason hidden under your bed. (Kind of a part 2 to Calico Creature)
Pairing: The Creature / Adam Frankenstein x fem reader
Warnings: lots of smut, unprotected sex, p in v, oral (fem receiving), fluff
Word Count: 1.6k
A/N: it's been a while since I've written something so apologies! I'm hoping to write some non Frankenstein fanfics soon but Adam is just too damn sexy. Any feedback or suggestions let me know! Enjoy :)
Henry lay Alice onto the bed. Gently releasing her of her restricting corset.
“I love you Alice, and I will not let anyone get in the way of our love,” Henry confessed before his fingers slipped into-
“When will that snow stop? I swear spring will never come at this rate,” you said shaking off the snow from your heavy coat before placing it on a hook on the wall.
Adam had been sat by the fire reading a book you for some reason had hidden under the bed. Of course, this wasn’t his first read of the book, the romantic and steamy scenes intrigued Adam. He often pictured himself as the protagonist, Henry a poor farm boy and you as Alice, a viscountess who had a forbidden and lustful romance.
You brushed your hair out untangling it from its braid. Adam felt his face flush as he looked at you, your face lit by the crackling fire your eyes gentle as you smiled at him.
Adam adored you. Although you hadn’t done anything quite like Alice and Henry, you both slept in the same bed which would often lead to close cuddling and Adam gently kissing your face as you slept. Nights without you were tough, every so often you’d travel to your mother’s home to help your younger brother with his schoolwork. The bed always felt so empty and cold. Adam would scoop up your cat Freddie for warmth despite her meows of protest.
“What book are you reading?” you asked sitting in the chair opposite him with your feet up on a stool. Adam looked at the cover of the book. “A f-f-forbidden romance.”
Your face flushed red hot. The book was one a close friend of yours had given to you before she had gotten married. She had told you it had all the details you needed to know about being with a man. You’d read it too of course, a single woman living on her own with only her cat to keep her company. You’d longed for a companion who’d treat you as Henry treated Alice. But you were shocked Adam had taken an interest in it.
“It’s quite a read,” you stammered your gaze lowered down to the tips of your socked toes.
“Freddie f-found it under your bed,” Adam stated. You glared over at your cat who was peacefully sleeping by the fire. “What do you think of it?” you questioned, curiosity in your voice.
Adam smiled, “I like it, I’ve r-r-read it a few times.” Somehow your cheeks got hotter. So, he’s read that scene and that scene?
“I like the relationship between H-Henry and A-Alice,” Adam continued. In that moment you regretted teaching this man to read. “I think that we are s-similar to them.”
For the first time since you walked in the door your eyes met Adam’s who had been looking at you this whole time. “How so?” you questioned nervously.
Adam smiled, “They lay in bed together and they l-love each other.” You couldn’t help but smile back at him. Yes, there are many erotic scenes in the book but at the core of it all is love, and that was something you’d felt for Adam ever since you’d met him.
“They also do other things in bed together,” you pointed out. Now was Adam’s turn to blush. He broke eye contact with you and turned his gaze to the fire.
“Y-yes, it’s quite enjoyable t-to read,” Adam admitted. You let out a little giggle. He smiled at you loving the sound of your laugh.
-
Adam lay on the bed watching you slip on your nightgown. The cottage was small meaning there wasn’t anywhere to hide when dressing or undressing. You had made Adam turn around the first few months of living together but you’d gotten so used to each other it didn’t seem to bother you anymore. Adam loved to admire you stripping off each item of clothing, his eyes always lingering between your legs and chest.
You slipped under the covers next to Adam. He pulled you into his chest. You allowed your head to rest in the crook of his neck.
He whispered your name. You looked up at him. He leaned his face closer to yours, your noses touching. “Yes?”
“I-I-I wish to kiss you,” he whispered. Before you could react, Adam had pressed his lips to yours. You allowed your eyes to flutter shut enjoying the feeling of his kiss, which you can only assume he learned from Henry. You reached your hands up to cup his face. Adam pulled back and pressed his forehead against yours.
“I-I’d like to t-touch you as Henry touches Alice,” Adam expressed.
“Adam, we don’t have to do anything more if you do not wish,” you whispered caressing his cheek with your thumbs. “I-I want to,” Adam replied. He put both hands on your waist and lifted you onto his lap. As you straddled him you could feel him hardening beneath you.
Adams hands travelled up your thighs pushing your nightgown up and over your head. There you sat. Completely naked on top of a man you promised your grandfather you’d look after. But it seemed this man was happier looking after you.
Adam cupped both your breasts in his hands and squeezed them gently, looking at you for reassurance. You placed your hands over his urging him to squeeze a bit harder. Adam obeyed squeezing harder and rubbing his thumbs over your hardened nipples. He watched your face carefully for your reactions.
You began to grind against his lap. Your clit rubbing against his clothed cock. You both moaned in unison. Although Adam was trying to remember everything from the book, he allowed his natural instincts to take over.
Adam slipped down between your legs lying flat on the bed with your thighs on each side of his head. “Adam-Oh!” Adam pulled your hips down lips and tongue now working their magic between your legs. Licking and flicking your clit with his tongue, you were glad you lived out in the middle of the woods as you could’ve been certain the whole world would know Adam’s name.
Of course, the sound of his name and your incoherent moans only urged Adam to go faster. His licks were consistent. If you didn’t know any better, you’d have thought he had done this professionally. He definitely read that book more than a few times.
With one last “oh Adam!” you came all over his tongue. Adam groaned in delight happily licking every last drop you gave him. You had to un-straddle his face as he was more than happy to continue. He sat up and looked at you with the biggest smile on his face. He wiped his mouth clean with the sleeve of his shirt.
Out of breath and panting you took a moment to look at the man before you. When you had first met him, he was shy, hurt and wouldn’t dare touch you, now he sits before you the happiest he’s ever been, eager to continue.
“May we continue?” Adam spoke. You nodded before helping him pull his tunic and undergarments off. His stitching and scars on full display. There you both sat, stark naked, eyes hungry and lustful.
Adam pulled you onto his lap once more holding your face as he crashed his lips against yours. Eager, so very eager.
Adam placed both his hands on your ass lifting you down to lay on the bed, never breaking his lips from yours. You could feel him hot and hard prodding your entrance.
“Adam please,” you begged. He obeyed, slipping himself slowly, inch by inch into you stretching you out slowly. His forehead rested against yours watching for your reaction. As his hips finally met yours, he stopped, savouring the feeling of your warmth and wetness around him.
He moaned your name and connected your lips together again. Adam began to thrust into you, agonisingly slow at first as if to test the waters.
“Faster please Adam,” you groaned against his lips. Adam picked up his pace. Your hands found their way to his shoulder blades holding him close to you. Your breasts pressed against his chest.
Adam couldn’t believe the pleasure he was feeling all because of you, his saviour, his angel. His groans began to get louder as he reached closer and closer to his climax.
The wet sound of Adam thrusting into you mixed with your moans and gasps along with the sound of the crackling fire filled the room.
With one last groan of your name his hips pushed against yours as he came inside of you. He collapsed on top of you in exhaustion nuzzling his face into your neck as you traced your fingers over the scars on his back.
-
The water rippled as your hand moved across the surface of the bath water to find Adam’s hand, interlocking your fingers.
You lay with your back pressed against Adam’s chest his arms holding you tightly to him. Being as tall as he was Adam couldn’t fully lay down in the tub his knees poked through the surface of the water with your legs resting between them.
Adam lay sweet soft kissed against your temples and cheeks.
“Do you think Henry and Alice would be proud of us?” you wondered jokingly. You could feel Adam’s smile against your cheek.
“I think so, although Henry did not accurately describe how incredible it made me feel,” Adam replied his head resting against your temple.
“And how did it feel?” you pried.
“The happiest any man or monster could ever feel.”
You smiled at his response turning your head to face him and giving him a gentle kiss.
Pairing: The Creature (Adam Frankenstein) x fem reader
Tags/Warnings: smut, p in v, oral (fem receiving), loss of virginity, fingering, outdoor sex, lots of fluff, the creature is referred to as Adam
Word Count: 2.5k
A/N: Hello! It's been a bit since I've posted but I'd love to post more frequently on here so if anyone has any suggestions for future fics let me know! Thank you so much for all the love and attention on my other Frankenstein fics it makes my heart so incredibly happy :)
With no creator to hold him hostage the creature roamed the earth. In search of what, he was unsure. Perhaps he could find a home, a meaning or even a companion.
As he walked, he noticed the snow begin to melt beneath his leather boots. Trees whose branches were bare began to flower producing petals that would fall and catch in the creature’s hair.
Animals the creature had only seen illustrations of appeared in the forest. Birds sang a new and beautiful tune in the flowering trees while white spotted fawns pranced in the growing grass.
The creature was at one with nature. The animals did not fear him but accepted them into their home. Saw him as an equal. A being misunderstood by humanity.
Snap.
The creature looked in the direction of the sound. For a split second he thought he saw a pair of human eyes staring at him. He moved cautiously closer. But no one was to be seen.
Another snap. This one further away. Adam looked up to see a female figure running in the opposite direction away from him.
Adam turned his gaze down to the forest floor. He’d scared off yet another human.
-
Adam wandered in the figure’s direction. The sun had begun to set creating a medley of pinks and oranges in the sky.
As the trees began to clear, a large Georgian country house came into view.
Adam stepped cautiously closer hoping to observe from afar. The house seemed mostly empty. As he got closer to the rear of the home, he noticed a girl dressed in maid uniform sitting at the back door, her mouth smeared with red juice. She locks eyes with him.
“You promise you won’t tell Lady Ellington, will you?” you plead desperately, a half-eaten strawberry in one hand. The creature shook his head silently, amazed that this girl didn’t run or scream.
You sigh, “Thank you. I promise I didn’t steal them...I just picked a few extra. Fran won’t notice she’s practically blind anyway, she’s the head maid. Are you the new stable boy?”
“Y-yes,” Adam stuttered.
“Would you like one?” you reached your arm out with a fresh, bright red strawberry in hand to Adam. He gently took it from you. You patted the seat next to you. Shy at first Adam sat on the doorstep beside you.
“Cheers,” you said grabbing another strawberry from your apron and tipping it off Adam’s. Adam watched as you bit into the strawberry, its juices dripping down your hand. He mirrored your actions biting into the fruit. Adam’s eyes widened. He’d never tasted anything so sweet and delicious before. Chewing slowly to savour the flavour.
“Aren’t they divine?” you chuckled, patting your face dry with a napkin you had hidden in your side pocket.
The juices dribbled down Adam’s chin as he chewed. He looked back into the forest wondering where he could find more of this “divine” fruit.
“Oh, do you mind if I?” you gesture with the napkin. Adam looks at you confused, the corners of his mouth dripping with juice. You reach over and softly tap the juices away from his chin. Adam admires you as you do. Noticing every hair, pore, line and curve of your face. You’re a true beauty he’d only ever read about in books.
“P-pretty,” Adam whispers. You blush turning your face away from him. Adam puts his fingers on the side of your chin gently moving your face back to look at him, wanting to admire you for hours on end. Your face flushes having never been so close to a man before.
“You have such lovely brown eyes,” you sputtered.
“I-” Adam began but was quickly cut off by the sound of horse hooves dragging a carriage in the distance. You abruptly stand up and wipe down your apron and backside.
“That’ll be Lady Ellington back from the ball. I need to ready her bath,” you state. Adam rises trying to hide his annoyance with the disturbance.
“Th-thank you.” Adam says. You smile up at him placing a handful of berries into his hand.
“I hope I get to see you again.”
Adam smiles back, “I’d l-like th-that-t"
“You’re not really the stable boy, are you?”
Adam shakes his head.
“I thought so, you’re too tall-”
Your name is called from inside the house.
“That’ll be Fran,” you sigh.
You jump onto your tippy toes and place a kiss on Adam’s cheek.
“Remember not to tell anyone,” you whisper before escaping into the house.
Adam places a hand to his cheek where your lips once were. His stomach flutters with butterflies.
-
Adam returned at your door the following day in hopes of seeing you once again. As the sun began to disappear into the horizon the creature doubted your return. Perhaps simply the thought of seeing his scarred face was enough to keep you hidden in the stone walls of the Ellington house.
Adam looked down at the small bouquet of daffodils in his hand. As he turned to walk away the door creaked open.
“Hello again friend,” you said stepping down the steps by the door. You held out your hand to the creature. “Come sit.”
Taking your hand Adam sat beside you on the steps. He thrust the bouquet in front of you.
“F-for y-you.”
Your eyes lit up and you smiled suppressing a squeal of delight. Adam felt warmness in his chest as you took the flowers from him.
“Thank you,” you whispered holding the bouquet to your chest. “I love daffodils. They always remind me of my mother.”
“I-I picked-d them be-be-because they remind m-me of your s-smile,” Adam stuttered. He looked up at you and couldn’t help but mirror your look of delight.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been given flowers before, especially not by a man,” you admitted. Adam was surprised by this information having assumed you must have suitors calling for you and presenting you with lavish gifts regularly.
Breaking him from his thoughts you leaned over and pressed your lips to his temple. Adam’s heart pounded in his chest as you pulled away. He stared at your lips wanting nothing more than to feel the touch of them against his, to hold you close and feel-
Your name was called from inside the house.
“Apologies I must go, I think Lady Ellington needs help unlacing her corset.”
Adam’s heart sank knowing it’ll be another 24 hours before he gets to see you again. The call for your name turns from a shout to a scream.
“Thank you for the flowers I’ll see you tomorrow.” You gave Adam a quick hug before running back inside.
“I’m coming my Lady,” you exclaimed.
Adam sat left alone yet again on the doorsteps.
-
The both of you had made it a habit of seeing each other every evening, conversing for hours on end often leading to you falling asleep on Adam’s shoulder. You gave him a purpose, a reason to keep living, a reason to love.
As Adam made his evening walk up to the Ellington estate, he heard orchestral music playing from inside the house.
As he raised his fist to knock on the wooden door the door springs open.
“Adam!” you hug him tightly then take his hand.
“Do you hear the music? The lady is hosting a ball! I can’t be away for too long as we are awfully busy managing so many guests but come look.” You drag him over to the side of the house.
Through the massive ornate glass window lords and ladies dance in elegant and lavish clothing. There are tables full of carefully decorated and brightly coloured desserts and drinks. A full orchestra and conductor in the corner playing beautiful melodies.
“Oh, I wish I could join them,” you expressed, humming along with the music. Although it did cross Adam’s mind to drag you in to join the party, he quickly discarded that idea knowing the consequences of a maid and her sewn together friend taking to the dance floor.
Adam observed a man in a tailcoat bow and offer his hand to a lady dressed in a frilly red gown. The lady curtsied taking the man’s hand. He led her to the dancefloor.
“Ugh I did spend so long getting the colour of those cakes right. Lady Ellington was so specific about the pink-” you turned to see Adam bow and offer his hand to you. You glanced back at the window making sure no one noticed the two of you outside. They were all too busy twirling around or stuffing their faces with cakes you and Fran had spent hours decorating.
You curtsy grabbing your skirt that was still stained with icing sugar. You take Adam’s hand and he pulls you in close to dance. You place your hand on his shoulder while his rests on your waist. You both sway to the music attempting to mirror the dancers inside.
“Adam, I must admit I do not know how to dance.”
Adam leans down to press his forehead against yours. “Nor do I... but in this moment the only th-thing that m-matters in this world is y-you.”
You move your head back an inch to look into his eyes. The tips of your noses touching.
“I hope you won’t find it rude for me to ask, but... would you kiss me?” you whisper. Adam moves his head down slowly and gently meeting his lips to yours. You move your hands to cup his face and to pull him in to deepen the kiss. Adams hands rest on your waist pressing your body against his.
Behind you the guest continued their dances. Their bright fashionably clothing a contrast to your maid uniform and Adam’s dark tattered clothing.
You pull apart, resting your foreheads together once more.
“I must go,” you whisper. “The rest of the staff will be looking for me.”
“P-please stay.” There’s a desperation and sadness in his voice. You can’t help but hesitate.
You look back at the party. Lords and Ladies are drinking and eating excessively with no care of their messiness. You know you will be the one to clean it up.
“I can stay with you a little while longer.”
A smile creeps back onto Adam’s face. He takes your hand pulling you towards the forest. The sound of the music and chatter fades as more and more trees surround you.
He stops at a small clearing in the trees and turns to you. He cups your face with both hands rubbing your cheeks with his thumbs.
“I have never felt such a f-feeling before. This new unfamiliar feeling love, I feel it so intensely and entirely when I look into your eyes. I read about it in many books, but I did not think it real, until I met y-you. Now, I truly know what it means to love.”
You are taken aback by his words not knowing what else to say, “I love you, Adam.”
He leans his head down lips mere centimetres from yours. “I love you too.”
He kisses you more intensely than before. You wrap your arms around him your bodies pressed into one another. Adam breaks the kiss to lay his fur covering onto the forest floor.
“I wish to do something I have dreamed about ever since we met.”
He picks you up bridal style and lays you on the fur. Adam kneels before you. He gently parts your legs. You shiver as his hands glide up your thighs grabbing onto the sides of your underwear. Your face red hot as your lower half is completely exposed to the nature around you and Adam’s hungry eyes.
“Do you wish that I would not touch you?” Adam asked pulling your underwear up and off your feet
“No, I’ve just never done such a thing before...I thought perhaps I’d be married when the time came.”
Adam smiled down at you, “Nor have I, but I promise you I will not degrade you nor do I wish to harm you. I promise you my love I intend on marrying you.”
You smile back at him. Your worries of the Ellington house far gone as all that matters in this moment is the man kneeling before you.
“I hope I can p-please you,” Adam says crouching down once more so close you feel his breath on your clit. Your breath hitches as he licks from your entrance to the hood of your clit. You feel him smile against you as you lay back and look up at the stars through the branches of the trees.
Adam begins to lap at your clit moaning at the taste of your wetness. He gently sucks and flicks his tongue. He places one arm on your torso to hold you down as you wriggle and moan. Adam uses his other hand to slip a single digit in and out as he continues his tongues attention on your clit. Adding another finger, he picks up the pace as your moans get louder.
“Oh Adam,” you yell as you cum on his fingers and tongue. The birds once sitting in nearby trees flying off at the loud sound.
Adam gives you one last flat tongued lick and sucking his fingers before framing his arms on either side of your head. His smile almost cocky as you panted underneath him still coming down from your orgasm.
He placed a gentle kiss on your lips.
“May I continue?” he asked as if asking for you to pass the salt at the dinner table.
You let out a breathy laugh, “You may.”
Adam sat back on his knees pulling his tunic over his head exposing his scarred and stitched torso. You sat up to admire him. Moonlight being the only source of light, he looked like he was sculpted from marble.
You mirrored his actions taking your uniform and undergarments off leaving you fully naked before him.
Adam lent down once more his naked body pressed against yours. You could feel him long and hard against your inner thigh.
With his lips hovering over yours he guided himself into you, slowly inch by inch. Any time you would flinch or groan he’d back away slightly only going further based on your reactions.
As Adam’s pelvis met yours, he kissed you gently moaning into the kiss at the feeling of you soaked, warm and wrapped around him. Breaking the kiss, he pressed his forehead to yours slowly moving his hips, watching your face for any signs of discomfort.
His thrusts began increasing as you moaned louder. Adam’s own moans increasing as he reached closer and closer to orgasm.
The only sound filling the forest was flesh slapping against flesh and the sounds of your pleasure.
Adam pressed his lips against yours as he released inside of you. You wrapped your arms around him as he collapsed on top of you. You pet his hair as he panted, his face buried into your neck.
“I don’t ever want this to end,” you whisper, combing your fingers through Adam’s locks.
“Then let us wed, be with one another until the end of time.”
You smile turning to face Adam who was staring at you with doe eyes. You place a kiss on the tip of his nose.
