The crocverse is now one of my favorite things, so naturally i pulled a couple all nighters to draw it. I wholeheartedly agree with and tried to incorporate many of @nothing-more-than-hot-leaf-juice ‘s SCORCHING hot takes, but during the process I also developed some takes of my own:
Although the nations don’t actually exist, debate over the superior croc type is extremely intense and arguably just as polarizing. Zuko rarely gets involved in this, but the one time he did Sokka had to spend the night at Toph’s.
Sokka sometimes wears platforms at work to fake being tall and intimidating (although he’s not very good at the “intimidating” part). He also wears them because once a stranger complimented them on the street and he’s been chasing that high ever since.
Zuko will not wear regular crocs but he will wear the croc slides. He justifies this by claiming they’re not “proper” crocs, but really he wears them because they’re a gift from Sokka. In fact, his entire outfit is a gift from Sokka (except for the turtleduck jammies - that was Iroh).
Personally, I like the idea of Toph going ballistic over crocs much more so than her being sullen about it (plus it’s fun to draw). She has an ankle monitor for a reason.
Sokka made the croc heelys for Iroh, who absolutely LOVES them and rolls around the shop to freak out customers. Also, Iroh still invented bubble tea in this universe. No I don’t know how.
Everyone is wearing the most garish outfit possible because I wanted them to. Also, these are all outfits I’d wear so if anyone wants to make them please let me know.

Sokka, eyeing the absurd amount of gell that is basically supergluing his hair in place: ... I can tell. It's fabulous.

The waiter after taking one look at Sokka's khakis and blindingly bright shirt+crocs combo: Not to be rude sirs, but are you absolutely certain that you are the five-o'clock reservation tonight?
Zuko: ... Yes?
Sokka: Of course we are! We're dressed so fancy too!
The waiter, still eyeing Sokka's crocs: ... I... see.
y’know i‘m more of a newcomer to the zukka fandom, so i missed some shit like the minimal discourse and shit. so i went to look back at this. and you guys. what. the fuck.
(yes this is specifically for @nothing-more-than-hot-leaf-juice crocverse made me feel like i was hit by a truck)
People are talking about Sokka rolling up to his first date with Zuko in a Hawaiian shirt and crocs. I completely agree but on their anniversary Sokka arrives wearing this:
Zuko thinks this is weird but at least he looks somewhat smart. THEN Sokka shows him his footwear
Sokka argues it’s okay because the blue matches the blue on the suit.
