Not that the Deep Note ever seemed too loud to me, but it makes sense... even if you’re not in a theatre.

The new THX Trailer: “Genesis”!
I’m not sure if this would fit or could be easily condensed for in-home releases (ala the “Laserdisc” version of “Cimarron”). I prefer the original Deep Note as heard in the trailer, but I wonder why they used not the 2015 Deep Note from “Eclipse” (that may not best replace the original Deep Note, but it’s still pretty cool).
Many THX trailers since “Cimarron” are generally more creative or specific with style, including “Genesis”. It covers various kinds of atmospheres for movies, from natural to urban and even futuristic environments. The THX Spatial Audio (stereo/best with headphones) is fitting and immersive with lots of bass.
My favorite THX Trailers, among “Broadway” (namely the VHS/DVD/LD versions), “Cimarron” (namely the “Laserdisc” version), the classic “Tex” (1 & 2), the special “T2″ variant, and “Eclipse”, still includes “Genesis”, and I, like most, voted on that name.
THX isn’t the only logo with the “Genesis” name; there’s also SEGA Genesis (tweet) and Genesis Entertainment (tweet). Those sure bring 2008 memories for me.

what if i was walking down the street and you, the street interviewer, stops to ask me what i’m listening to and i just hand you the ear bud and it’s the THX deep note
Just about anyone who has been in a movie theater knows the Deep Note. It remains one of the most recognizable sonic identities in the world
plays a DEEP NOTE on the electric organ and you all vibrate intensely
