Max works as a mime for the Devil Carnival. He is incapable of speaking, so he communicates primarily through writing, drawing, vocalizations (such as grunting and sighing), and simple hand gestures. Before the Devil Carnival, he had a sibling-like relationship with Cynthia, often relying on her for emotional stability. His soul was signed away by Maeva without his permission, so they have a complicated relationship...

Maeva works as an assistant and clown in the Carnival. They used to be in a romantic relationship with Cynthia, before Cynthia took her life because of her poor mental health. Out of desperation, Maeva goes to her employer, Maudit, and signs her- and Max's soul away in exchange for reviving Cynthia. There is not a day that goes by that they don't regret this decision...

I created the design for this character!
Adrian is a teenager that works at the Casino in the Devil Carnival. There's not much that I know as a player at this point in the story, but he is reluctant to follow Maudit's orders.

Good day, all. My friends and I have formed a DnD campaign. We all enjoy writing and making art, so I'll be sharing art of my character, Aliya Moor, on this account- along with my usual posts. Our campaign is named The Devil Carnival, and I hope you enjoy future updates!

🍃>__ they feel alienated from the people around them because of how often they forget things and their overall appearing 'naivety' (fawn response) they're generally treated as helpless and useless by the team they're a part of...
🔒>__ they don't know what they've done. all they know is that they've spent their whole life running. there's this deep, instinctual fear of being more than the character they present themselves as, but if they stop, there's nothing underneath.

They are a warlock contracted with the ringmaster of the Devil Carnival, Maudit. Their job in the circus is fortune telling, so this art depicts them in their outfit while they're working. This art was drawn on paper and is mixed media: inking, pens, colored pencils, and oil pastels were used. More to come!
