Thinking about "You know of my history, Phil, even before this server, I've always been on the losing side,"...

Like. I know it's an SMP Earth reference, but it's so vague that it totally works for any backstory that you envision for him. But what's important is that it emphasizes what c!Tommy is and always Has been - an underdog, a scrappy kid with little to his name, a fighter through and through, as life continues to refuse to throw him a bone. That isn't a DSMP exclusive thing - it's been his whole life. And so isn't it kind of sad to think about, why he valued 2 discs, 2 pieces of plastic, so much? He never really had anything to his name, never had anything to prove his worth, and so something so small is enough to leave him happy... something so small, he fought so hard for. And I just think, there's something so evident and heartbreaking in that </3

My Discs

It was during the war I lost them.

I gave up my discs, so my country could live. I smiled happily afterwards: maybe I could still grin. Though I missed the harmonies of sweet, sweet innocence, I couldn't help but smile to the lights within.

But I couldn't forget them.

I gave my music to the green-skinned monster, who would torture me with them for a very long time. The country for which I fought, and more importantly, sacrificed, fell like it wasn't even worth a dime.

Do they all want my discs?

Am I going insane? I see their hands, reaching towards them. Why are they trying to steal it, like it's some silly prize? It's not a prize; it's my past. My childhood, my innocence, everything I was before the wars and the lies.

The discs are worth more than anything ever will be.

It's not just material. It's not just the music. It's not just the songs, which they sing, just for me. It's the important memories. The only reminder that I'm a kid, and nothing else. The only reminder that I too deserve life's ease.

I don't want problems. I just want back my peace.

Hey anyone here that actually wants tommy to get his discs back and not give up on them ? :)

Tommy has already go up to this point he can't just give up now.

I know it's getting tiring and all but isn't the point of the series was the discs. It's started with the discs. I mean l'manburg is gone. If you guys are saying that he should give up because l'manberg is gone, why should he? He gave the discs for l'manburg. Now l'manburg is gone, he has the rights to get his discs back.

Besides isn't it the whole plot. Like any other show. Every shows and series has a goal. And dream SMP isn't any different. The goal is to get the discs.

like, ranboo’s right, the discs LITERALLY REPRESENT REBELLION ON THE SERVER. that’s why tommy was the first to have them, the first to truly rebel, and that’s why dream wants, them, so no one rebels again

Watching an old Tubbo stream really shows how little Tubbo cares about the discs and how much he only does it for Tommy.

He notices how much work Dream puts in for the fight with Tommy and when Tommy logs on, he drops his project to give him resources (cause Tommy is never really preparing himself reasonably). But since the beginning Tubbo knew that being on Tommy's side is a bad strategic move and that Dream will always win.

"I really don't [understand]. You're basing this all on sentimental value, aren't you?"

Tubbo was always the more logic thinker, and Dream always liked him better for the stuff he does and builds. (And honestly, if it weren't the for Tubbo, Tommy would've died so much more than he already has)

Tommy says it's always him and Tubbo vs. Dream, but the truth is that Tubbo is just getting caught in the crossfire by being Tommy's friend.

Thinking about it, the exile was unavoidable.
