Hey weird question but I really like pain’s design and been following for a bit and I was wondering what lore do you have for her? Like these vibes are so good I must know more
aahh thank you so much! i have SO much lore (in my head) about her but the basics are:
-Made immortal by a goddess as she was close to death, and now fights for that goddess to restore the balance of the natural world and the encroachment of mortals upon it (her goddess, Dira, presides over nature and the life/death cycle and has taken it upon herself to balance it more as she sees fit by saving people from near death, holding them in a suspended mortality so long as they fight for her cause)
-She's kind and lives day by day but for a long time struggled with her immortality, nearly driving herself mad trying to hold onto memories of her life before while trying to figure out how to survive this new brutal life. Now she's let whatever leeches out of her memory go, not even remembering her real name, the faces of her long-dead family, or even really where she's from. She just Is.
-Very good at fighting but never had formal training beyond very basic militia drills so she's very much spurred by a raw need to survive, rather than having a particular code or set of skills.
-Her tattoo is imbued with magic and she can pull thorny vines out of it, which hurts her and takes a little while to heal but can tangle up enemies and are strong as iron bindings.
-I call the story/setting she and my other OCs are in The Dread Morrows, it's very much a story of found family, sacrifices and bad people doing good things because they GUESS they want the world to not be on fire
