So my birthday was yesterday. I'm 34 now. Looking forward to the next year of my life and don't know what it will hold just yet. Some fun facts I found out this past year that are related to Tudor History. I was born on the same day that Edmund Dudley was arrested April 24th, 1509. Maybe that's why I love the Dudleys and find them so fascinating. My birthday also happens to fall on the same day Mary Queen of Scots married the Dauphin Francis. Not sure I'm happy about that. Finally, Henry VIII began intitating proceedings against Anne Boleyn on this day too. Which stinks. Lots of Tudor events happened on my 🎈🎂. Will be celebrating with the family and friends this weekend.
Joanne Paul making a graph of the rise and fall of the dudleys and lol to daddy dudley being a ten 🔥 and then the chaotic era of bess and robin 🔥🔥🔥
Who's ghost looks after Abigail in Hill House just after she "wakes up"? Some lady straight up walks away holding her hand??
Is it the old ladys (Mrs Hill?) younger counterpart? Some random nanny that helped Poppy's kids? One of the Gratten's poppy sings about? Abigail's own grandmother? Mr Dudleys mother??
“If you keep this house.Keep us on.Keep everyone else away.Don’t let it take anyone else, never again.Let it starve. But leave it here.So I can see her.”

Just finished The Haunting of Hill House
And the “funny” thing is, I’m not even thinking about the scary parts and the creepy ghosts now.
I’m just trying to stop crying while thinking of the Crains and the Dudleys and how I don’t even know what to feel right now.
