I'm new to liking Colin O'donoghue from seeing him in a Netflix movie, and I plan to watch Once Upon a Time because I like the Killian Jones whump from the gifs I've seen. Can you recommend any other movies or shows he's been in with some good whump?

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Did you see him in What Still Remains? That’s a good movie. And there was some great whump in it!!!

…umm, if that’s not the movie, you should probably see that movie XD It’s good, and there’s some great whump in it ;)

For whumpy Colin content, Once is really your best bet… although it’s an ensemble show, and there’s 7 seasons of it, and he’s only in 6 of them, and it’s also a family show… So what I’m saying is, there’s a lot of NON-Colin-Whump in that show, of course, but there’s Other People Whump (if you’re into that sort of thing) and some fun adventures and comedy to be had. It also has the greatest whump of Colin’s career (thus far) in the middle of the fifth season.

I also enjoyed Storage 24 from a whump standpoint, but there’s not much physical injury in it for Colin’s character. However, if you like angst and seeing hot men paralyzed by absolute terror scared and vulnerable, you’ll definitely enjoy it. There’s an alien monster afoot, and it’s really quite a silly horror flick, but Colin scrambles about in air vents and his voice breaks and he frets and flails and it’s just delightful, really. He also gets knocked in the nuts by his bestie near the beginning and gets punched later on. Both are lovely.

He did a short black comedy film called The Euthanizer that you can view on YouTube for free. Or just click here. Trigger Warning, though - his character is super duper suicidal in that, so if that’s not your bag, you’ll wanna skip it. But if you like angst, guys who suck at killing themselves, and hangings… you’ll love it.

There’s also an episode of The Clinic where his character set himself on fire and is pretty hysterical about it. It’s early in his career, so the pain faces are a little less perfected, but I love it. It’s precious. Somebody used to have ALL of Colin’s scenes from that show up on YouTube, but they took them all down and I don’t know if anyone’s put them back up yet. I have a LOT of gifs of it, and if nobody’s got the clips up, I’ll probably eventually upload those scenes on here.

He gets punched in basically everything he ever does, so if you want to see him get popped in the kisser, you can literally watch almost anything of his and you’ll see that. I got a pretty good whump/angst/summary guide to Once episodes and Colin’s other works (if I do say so, myself - which I just did). You can find it here. Just click on the “other works” tab to see all the non-Once stuff. There’s also links to gifs/caps and sometimes vids for some of them.

Oh, and you can join us all in eagerly awaiting the JJ Sneed episode of Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings! It’s an anthology of mini-movies coming to Netflix, each one based on one of her songs. The one Colin’s in (JJ Sneed) is based on a song where the male lead gets shot, nursed back to health by the female lead, then shot again BY the female lead when he cheats on her. *makes grabby hands at this entire premise* I NEED IT NOW D:

We’re also eagerly awaiting Kiss Me, Judas - which is a film Colin’s going to produce and star in, based on one of his favorite books, about a super angsty dude who wakes up naked in a bathtub of ice, missing his kidney and near death. And things go downhill from there XD CAN’T. WAIT.

Colin is, like, a gift to whumpers. I swear. I love him <3
