parallels: evak & cardamom vs sobbe & turmeric

Know what I just thought about? Since there are infinite universes with infinite evaks, it means there’s an infinite amount where they still have yet to meet. Right as we sit here, alternate Isaks and Evens are falling in love or about to. And I just think that’s important.

hey, would you rank the evaks? curious to know your take!

The way that this is so genuine but I can’t help but think of the anon ask antania sent me where I literally just put down the numbers and then nicotino for #6 skdjdkfj

But because you’re being genuine, I will give you a genuine answer! I really don’t know how to order them at all, truly, because while I do have a grasp on the bottom half of the list, my top three seriously change daily, and I really love all of them a lot!! Like even the bottom half of my list, I adore them so fucking much. But here’s my feelings at the current moment:

1. Sobbe

Likely obvious from my blog that they’re my #1. Which, after realizing all the parallels between them and Philkas tonight, that might be part of it because I was obsessed with Eyewitness for a good two years lol. But sobbe on their own are really something else. The Willems’ chemistry and acting are truly top notch, and I know I mention it constantly but the fact that they are the evak that focuses the most on parallel universes is something I will never get over. They were the last evak season, but they also made a big deal about how they are together in every universe, how they love each other in every universe, and it really just kills me to think about. And their relationship as a whole really just screams home, and I love that.

2. Davenzi

I know this is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I fucking love that Druck didn’t give David a mental illness. I love the mi storyline as much as the next person, but a lot of the remakes and even Skam itself didn’t handle it the best, and I personally just feel like the mental health storyline should be front and center if you’re gonna do it, which is why I love that Druck did that with Nora. And the fact that they made David trans is truly a change that I love. From his coming out, to his outing, to the casual showing of him in his binder, and Matteo telling him he’s good the way he is - god it’s so wonderful. And then when it comes to their relationship, I adore it so much. Truly the last couple episodes hold some of my favorite moments between them. The reunion where they just hug and then spend the night cuddling, it gets me every fucking time. And their ohn was truly just perfect. It wasn’t the same as any of the others, with the running or the brief interaction when they do meet and fade to black, but it was everything they both needed. Matteo just asking what the hell he thought he was doing and them screaming and letting everything out - Matteo letting David know he didn’t have to run because he was there now. God its just beautiful, man.

3. Crisana

Sadly the only wlw evak, but they’re wonderful. Their storyline in season 4 especially got to me because it was the only time we get to see an evak decide to stop living minute by minute. They’re both changing and evolving and theyre shaping their relationship to that because they love each other and one shitty week is worth the ten amazing ones, and I just love that. Also, Joana getting to speak for herself and even giving her a different mi entirely is something I love.

4. Evak

No one kill me for them being in the second half, please. They’re the og, the blueprint, I fucking love them and miss them everyday, they’re just lower because of the reasons that the others are higher. Everything started with them, and it’s no wonder such amazing couples came from these two lovely boys

5. Elu

Season 3 of Skam France is so beautiful, and if it was just based off that, they would probably be higher. However, their storylines in s5 and s6 really just didn’t sit well with me and while I adore them and they’re still precious to me, I feel like their the evak that does need to work the most on communication and keeping their relationship stable. They’re soulmates, but that’s not all it takes. I still adore them tho!!!

6. Nicotino

Yeah, they really are last for me. I did enjoy Skam Italia season 2, and I do love these two together, but they’re basically a copy and paste of the og, and sadly they are just lacking in that special spark that the rest of the evaks have. Still love them tho, but someone had to be last

Which evaks could break up; least likely to most likely:

6) Sobbe. Let’s be real, there is nothing coming between these two. They are simply it for each other, honderd procent voor altijd in elk universum. They still act like honeymooners, they’re boyfriends and best friends, solid as a rock, as drama free as you could hope for a young couple, and one of the most stable in all of skamverse. The jaws of life could not separate these two.

5) Evak. Another very stable couple. They had their drama in Sana’s season, but they also live together and are planning a future. After sobbe they have the most “soul mate” vibes imo and I can’t imagine them truly being happy with anyone but each other.

4) Nicotino. Personally, I think they got over whatever hump could come between them in season four. They had a temporary break up but came back stronger and that was the proof that they will choose each other even when something might threaten their relationship. It felt like a true commitment.

3) Crisana. Listen, these girls are a lot. Both of them are dramatic, argumentative, and sometimes very difficult to be around-both for one another and everyone else. They are definitely one of those couples that is going to argue a lot. It’s just kind of who they are. That being said, they have been through a lot together and weathered it. They love each other enough to put the effort into making it work. Will there come a point in time where the effort feels like more than they want to give anymore? It’s possible. But I still think they have a good chance of making it.

2) Elu. As annoying as season six was with them and their relationship, I did like that it showed that they do argue sometimes and they do still have issues in their relationship. Things weren’t magically solved just because they love each other. Lucas has major trust issues, and Eliott hides things to spare him the worry. Both of those things are understandable but they’re not exactly healthy. And they cannot be sustained long term.  I don’t doubt their love for each other and I don’t see them wanting anyone else. But I think things will only work if they really make a point to work on their communication.

1) Davenzi. I hate to even say this because I love them so much, and they own my heart in so many ways. And the evak relationships always feel like this kind of fantasy of a high school first love that is made to last. But I never felt that way about davenzi. They never felt like forever to me. Yes they love each other. Yes they are happy together. But I don’t see either of them looking forward long term into the future. I could easily see the relationship running its course and them splitting amicably. They would definitely still remain friends. However, that’s just one scenario. There is nothing to really say they won’t last other than an inkling I get. If, for no other reason, I can see them working out because they can’t really stand most other people. 

Anyway, that’s my opinion that nobody asked for. I might do more lists like this in the future, it’s pretty fun!
