help save my friend’s dog’s life
Hi guys-
My friend Nolan McGovern is a musician in one of my favorite bands, and he just got back from an East coast tour, only to find out that his dog Layla needs emergency surgery or else she will die. Not only this, but Nolan’s mother is currently fighting breast cancer.
Nolan is one of the most wonderful, kindhearted, genuine people I’ve ever met and seeing him in pain is heartbreaking. Please, please, please share this post and (if you can) donate. He needs $2,200 as soon as possible. Thank you so much, and please, please share this!!

The Fairview // Stagnancy
I’m listening to Lulu Wang’s interview on Fresh Air and no offense to Terry Gross because she is respectful enough, but I wish i could get some interviews conducted by another Chinese American or Asian American. White people want you to explain your immigrant experience and your “struggle” to them and lol but no.
I talk about this because it’s on my mind. This weekend I went to a play called Fairview and it’s been in my mind a lot about who gets to tell our stories, and who gets to explain and translate the stories that are for and about people of color. I went home to look up some theater reviews and they were all written by white people working through their white guilt but that’s not what I was looking for....
if you called it quits, said go fuck yourself, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to blame you.
