it's got it all: post apocalyptic world, aliens, lgbt+ rep, poc rep and a dog that doesn't die in the end!

Buying a book just because of the cover art = guilty as charged! But 'The Last 8' sounds like it could be a riot of a new series. I'm always a sucker for an alien invasion storyline... who's with me? Anyone?
