I've decided that Richard's purpose is not to start a legacy, although, if this happens, fantastic. I think most people will agree that the original game houses are awful. Most of them are completely inadequately sized and all of them are decorated hideously. They remind me of old people's houses - busy wallpapers with clashing patterned carpets, awful furniture in equally unpleasant patterns. Often the only good thing about these houses is the garden! I'm not the best at draining gardens; I get bored, and I rarely bother with terrain paints. So, Richard's purpose is this: to work his way from house to house, by any means necessary, and revamp them. I missed my chance with his first home, a tiny loft in the swampy area of Twinbrook, but he currently lives in Mary Baker's house. It's a lovely sized and shape house, but it's decor is terrible. There are also a disproportionate amount of bathrooms, in my opinion. One on each floor would do. So, my next step is to sort this house out! I'll sell any furniture that can't simply be restyled. All wallpapers will be changed, and most flooring. Some of the bathrooms will be knocked through into the next room. I'm not looking at my screen right now, but I think two of the bathrooms are next to each other, so they can be made into one larger bathroom. I'll add a washing machine and dryer to the house somewhere - call me mad, but I really like the laundry aspect of the game! The bedrooms will all be revamped to make better use of the space. Mary's boys' bedrooms will still have the same skill building stuff in there, i.e. telescope and computer, but I'll upgrade them to better versions. The downstairs rooms will also be majorly changed. There is a large room which seems to serve no purpose currently. It can be changed into a very spacious living room. It's crying out for a TV and comfy sofas. The kitchen is also in major need of modernising. Once this is done, I'll get Richard to divorce Mary, she can move her sons back in, I'll give them all a complementary CAS makeover, then Richard can move on to his next mission. He has been flirting with Sofia Carlton, so I'll get him to marry and move in with her next. Then it will be her home's turn for a revamp! This project will keep me happy over the summer break. I'll make videos of the transformations in a DIY style fashion. I'll also give credit (where possible) to the custom content used in the makeover. It'll be fun!
