The Fooo Preference #2: Babies First Steps
Ogge: Bring home little Nomi was scary at first. The first few nights of her life was tough, trying to get everything on a schedule. She didn't enjoy sleeping at night, so we would take turns. I was up with her mostly since I was breastfeeding her, but soon we got the hang out it. They always say time flies when you have a newborn and they are right. It was just yesterday she was born and now she's almost 11 months old. She's mostly a daddy's girl which was her first words but i just loved watching her grow up. Nomi had her daddy wrapped around her little finger, I knew that would cause trouble. "Baby come here" he called out to me. I walked upstairs and into her room where he had her standing up between his legs. "yes babe?" I asked as I sat down across from him. "I want to see if she can walk" he said. "Has she been trying?" I asked. "Kind of but she wont let me hands go" he said. "Nomi, come here" I said as I held out my hands towards her. She started babbling and giggling as she kicked her feet still holding his fingers. "Come on baby" he said into her ear. She started to take a step towards me, still holding onto her daddy's fingers. He eased his hands away from her as she walked towards me. I grabbed her as she made her way to me giving her kisses on her cheeks. "SHE WALKED" he yelled at in excitement. 'Yeah, she did, " I said as I hugged her close to me. "Come to daddy, " he said as he reached out his hands. She started to walk, but stumbled a little, but he was right there to catch her. "Daddy's got you, " he said as he kissed her forehead. "Dada" she said as he looked up at him. "Daddy's here, " he said as he picked her up. "You two are amazing to watch, " I said. "And I love you, " he said as he pulled me close to him. "I love you, can't believe our little girl is growing up" I said. "They grow up fast, " he said as he looked at her. "She will be a year old next month" I said as I held her hand. "Yeah, she will be but we can always have more" he said as he kissed my cheek. "I know baby, but lets get her to a year old then we can talk about it, " I said as I got up. He sat there for hours teaching her how to walk and spending time with her. You could see how much he loved her by just how he looked at her. Daddy's girl for sure, but I knew we were safe with him. Oscar: When we found out that we were expecting we were over the moon. My pregnancy wasn't the easiest pregnancy but we got a baby boy in the end of it. Seeing his face after the hard labor made everything worth it. When we left the hospital Louis had to stay for an extra week. That was the toughest day of my life but once we got him home everything was perfect. Everyone knows the first few days of a newborns life is hard because you have to figure out what they want. Being new parents was difficult but we made it through. Eight short months later Louis was all over the place. He knew how to get his way as well, and always baby talking. We would lose track of time just talking to him, our lives had changed for the better. He crawled everywhere and he started to stand up on his own. "Soon we will have a walking baby, " I said as I sat down at the kitchen table. "I can't believe it" He said. "It was just like yesterday he was born and now he's all over the place" I said. "He's growing up so fast, " he said. "I know, " I said with a pout. "But she will be here soon, " he said as he rubbed my belly. "In 5 months" I said with a smile. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Louis standing up as I turned he started to take his first steps. "Louis comes here, " I said as I held out my hand. He started giggling as he walked towards the table. "He's walking, " he said with a gasp. "I see come here, " I said as I looked at Louis. Louis finally made it to the table and I picked him up hugging you close to me. "I'm so proud of you baby, " I said as I kissed his cheek. He grabbed my cheeks and started to baby talk. I placed him back down and he was off, we had a walking baby. Everything now was on but I don't know if we could keep up with Louis. Our little baby was growing up so fast, I wanted to stop time and keeping him little forever. Felix: Being pregnant with two boys was a challenged but we made it through. They came early but they were perfect when the arrived. All ten toes as well as ten fingers. Double trouble but double the love, double the work but it was worth it. In the first three months of their lives it was hard and many times I wanted to give up. Felix made it easier but it as tough on us both. Stephan was the quiet one while Tony was the one that loved to stay up all night. Felix always had Tony right there with him, it was the only way to keep him quiet. I always wonder when they would walk, my mom always said I walked when i was 5 months old. Felix started to walk around 9 months so I always wonder when they would walk. They would turn 8 months next week and both of them were crawling. Once a baby starts crawling its hard to keep them out of things. I was sitting on the floor in their nursery as they played in on the floor. Soon Felix joined us as he sat next to me watching them play, Tony soon crawled over to us. Grabbing Felix shirt as he started to pull himself up. "Big boy is going to stand I see" Felix said. "Dada" Tony said. "I'm right here, you always got me" Felix said. I shuffled myself across from Felix just seeing if Tony would walk. "Come here baby, " I said. I caught his attention as he turned around, starting to take a step towards me. "There you go, " I said. "I got you" Felix said. Tony started a few more steps as he made his was over to me. I kissed his forehead as he grabbed my hands. "Good job, " I said with a smile. "Come back to daddy" Felix said. Right when Felix talked Tony made his way back over to him. He was surly a daddy's boy, Stephan crawled over to us. I helped him stand up as he held onto my hands. "Come here to daddy" Felix said as he held Tony. Stephan also made a few shaky steps before getting the hang out if. He was off before I knew right into his daddy's arms. We had two twin boys walking now they were truly double trouble. Omar: I was always told that I would never have a baby. A family is what I always wanted but after I knew I couldn't have one I tried to move on with my life. Someway Omar and I kept hoping some day that our dream would come true. When I found out I was pregnant with Amelia our hearts were full. I knew this little girl would be a miracle child but she would be loved. She came a little early but some how God kept her protected and we got to go home with him. Being parents wasn't as easy as we though but after a week we started to get the hang of it. I was blessed to have Omar with me because he always kept my hope up and stress away. Its crazy to think that we bought this little girl in this world and we were her parents. We were new parents but some how I knew we would be ok. I couldn't believe that my baby girl was growing so fast she was almost a year old and she was into everything. She wanted to know everything that we were doing or we would hear about it. She always knew how to get her way especially with her daddy. Everything was perfect with her and she hit her milestones on time but she was struggling on the walking thing. "I got you" he said as he held her hands. She started to cry as he held her up, she was scared of falling once again. "I won't let go" He said as he started to walk with her. She took her steps with him as she started to get more comfortable with walking. She started to baby talk as they walked around her room. I walked in and couldn't help but smile, she was the apple of her daddy's eye. I sat down on the floor as he sat down with her, standing her up between his legs. "Come to mommy?" I said. She shook her head no as she started to cry. "We won't let anything happen to you" He said into her ear. I reached out towards her as she grabbed my finger, she started to take a few steps. I guided her towards me as she walked with my support. I turned her to face her daddy as she was still standing. He started to make funny faces at her to make her giggle. She soon started to make steps towards him not even thinking about holding on. She made her way to him, he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek. "You did it baby, " he said. "She's a walker" I said. "I'm proud of her, " he said as he lifted her up. I took in all the excitement from her walking, I always wanted to remember these moments. Simple moments like this is what that matters.
