[ closed starter for the-forgotten-memory ] The brook burbled, the sun shined, the trees grew taller still. It would have been a beautiful midsummer day if it weren't for the blazing heat. Ginko decided to take a break from his meandering hike and sit in the shade beneath a thicket of trees. After carefully setting his luggage on a level bit of ground, he used his sleeve to mop sweat from his forehead. With a kind of lazy interest, he watched a colony of ants that were working industriously on burrowing under a patch of gravelly rock. However, his concentration was broken by some sort of sound that was certainly outside of the forest status quo. He glanced around in order to see what it was.
