This is a very pointless question so feel free to delete this if you'd rather not do it: How do you, personally, define what is and is not a sandwich? I was arguing about it with Eva at 2 in the morning yesterday and the places she draws the line were the funniest things for me (like she says a cake can be and so can poptarts but that pies cannot) and I'm not exactly over it yet

If there’s edible stuff between* some kind of horizontal** bread, and you ordinarily hold it your hands to eat (even if you choose not to) it’s a sandwich

*the bread need not be completely separate, but it can’t be complete attached. I.E.- if you take one slice of bread and fold it in on itself, then put food into the fold, it’s a sandwich. If the bread completely covers the food (ex. corn dogs and poptarts), it’s not a sandwich

**breadbowls are not sandwiches because the bread, acting as a bowl, is mostly vertical with a bottom. However, if you were to place a breadbowl on its side and eat it like that using your hands, it would be a sandwich

I saw this at Baker’s Diner in Sunshine City Ikebukuro. The signage didn’t really give any explanation of what makes it an ‘omelet’ pancake, but the tabelog reviewers say that it’s like a thick, very eggy french toast, close in texture to an omelet but sweet and desserty. They also seem impressed to see it come out in a hot skillet, covered in ice cream and fruit... I have to admit, I’m kinda intrigued too.

Are you northern? i feel like northerners call them chip buttys, the south will call it something else.

So do you call the bread component of a chip butty a bap or a roll? Either way I believe it is wrong because it is a breadcake but i'm curious.

Out of curiosity, what kind of fairy ring are you dancing around and also, if dolly could understand it, what side do you think she'd take concerning storing bread in the fridge?

A standard one, I guess. Fairy Rings aren’t really varied. It’s really just a naturally occurring circle or arc of mushrooms. I’d encourage anyone to read up their mythology

And Dolly would likely prefer it on the counter, so she could lay near it if she wanted
