I think the “misled about gender affirming care” is intentionally vague when used by transphobes.
Like, I have seen a lot of people say that their doctor didn’t mention or emphasize enough x or y thing that they ended up not liking getting. Possibly not intentionally, possibly because the doctor assumed that this was common knowledge (sex ed sucks so bad and a lot of people don’t have base knowledge about how hormones work in the body or about what certain things actually mean in context).
But when grifters say it with no further clarification about what they were misled about and how it happened, they’re trying to get you to think “my doctor was an evil monster who lied about anything and everything while twirling their evil mustache”. And as you pointed out they make themselves look stupid. Because it’s such an obvious lie.
they desperately want to push the narrative that the evil corrupt doctors earn 💰 big bucks 💰 by force-transing random people (while twirling their evil mustache), meanwhile in reality gender-affirming healthcare is VERY gatekept and you could end up waiting years for legal access to HRT (plenty of time to look up all the effects and side-effects yourself in case you get grilled on whether you know them), not to mention that trans people are statistically mostly poor and working-class, so there's not much money to be made off of us anyway...
at least for ex-FtM detrans grifters, looking stupid is a bonus bc right-wing grift expects women to be gullible and easily manipulated.
