Headbangingtastic was this week's Local Band Local beer at Tir na Nog.
The Hello No(lower half of the photos) really kicked off the night. A strong female vocalist powered over the super tight instruments. Noodles, the lead guitarist, completely melted my face with his solos.
Absent Lovers(top half of the photos) played amazingly tight, too. You could sense the influence of Rush, Police, and similar bands in their style. They owned the stage and brought a lot of energy with songs about cyber-punk novels. Also, it was super cool seeing the Pour House/Neptunes door guy's band. I've talked with him before while working a Double Barrel Benefit show and I could tell he was probably a killer guitarist. Was not disappointed one bit.
