It's too bad you're not doing The Identical; I would've liked to see your criticism style applied to that movie. I've been told it's really bad, like the so bad it's good level of Showgirls bad.

All I know about it is that it's a really bad Christian film that doesn't even use Elvis's name for some reason (instead calling the main character "Drexel Hemsley" which just sounds really weird; who would name their kid that?), and that Ray Liotta somehow agreed to star in this trainwreck. Surely he couldn't have needed the paycheck that badly.

According to the review of the movie in The Arizona Republic: "Elvis Presley made some bad movies, but let's give the King his due: He never made anything as outright awful as The Identical."

I have watched The Identical. That's why I included it on the poll. I even did an April Fools post about it I think last year or in 2024.

April Fools

The Identical is basically an Elvis Presley biopic but it's not. It features Ray Liotta as a Southern pastor striving to make sure his adopted son is brought up right. Blake Rayne, an Elvis Tribute Artist in his only film role, plays a dual role of twin brothers separated at birth as both twins take completely separate paths.

Despite being a box office bomb, fans of this movie have described it as nothing you have ever seen before in your life. Is this a movie a secret cinematic masterpiece or is this movie absolute hot garbage that deserves to be hated? Let's find out.

April Fools everyone. Yes this is a real movie that exists and yes it performed that badly. You can currently watch it on Youtube for free that's how bad it is.

At the same time, it's also one of the best "so bad it's good" movie experiences. Highly recommend watching it with friends. My real review will be Double Trouble and will come out later this month.
