Re-inventing the wheel does make you forget what the wheel was in the first place. The pace is a little better, but this is a bad writer's Annabelle (2014). It’s something to look at.

I think I prefer this as an experience more than I did The Witch (2015). There is neither love nor hate for the film. It’s not really in the middle either. Let’s just admit that, yes, I’ve watched it. And honestly, it’s an unnecessary retelling.

 Valley Girl 2020

I don’t love it. I can settle on strong like. I don’t ever have to see it again. It’s okay for what it was. The memories conjured by the music is better than the film itself. But, I’m not really mad at anything. I may have casted it a few parts differently, but it is a safe watch.

It’s cute and has its moments. I don’t see anyone hating it. I will say it may have been a bit too long for what it was. But, there are some good laughs here.

I didn’t expect much. I hoped for some action. It’s not horrible. Knowing how it got made, I think it’s just too much story. And it’s too long for what the story is. Dare I say, I don’t see a sequel, where this kinda needs one. I’d actually watch one. It very much gives me Chronicle (2012).
